    I have leaned that those who adhere to covenant theology, are just like Charismatics and Calvinists;
    They will not be convinced by Scripture.

    They will continue to believe what they believe, regardless of what the Bible says.

    Therefore this may not do them any good.

    But for the rest of us who are Biblicists, this can help us not to be lead astray.
    --------------------------------------------------
    For covenant theology to work, every believer of all time, must be a member of the Church(the Kingdom of heaven).

    If we can show them from Scripture that this is not the case, there may be hope for them yet.......
    Luke 7:28
    “For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

    As every honest Bible student knows, John the Baptist was the last Old Testament prophet.(the end of the “dispensation of the law”)

    And here the Lord says that he was the Greatest of them.
    But the least individual in the next dispensation, is greater then him.

    WOW! Talk about a scripture being twisted to suit your theology! Did you even bother reading the parallel verse in Matthew?

    Mat 11:11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

    And...

    Mat 8:11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,

    Jesus' point is not that John is in some special, different body (which obviously from Matt 8 he is not). Jesus' point is that John, though in a human sense he is the most righteous who ever lived, is nevertheless in his humanity less than one who has partook of the justification by faith offered in Christ. SURELY you do not deny that John is in heaven, or that John was saved by the imputation of Christ's righteousness. Do you?

    Even though i am a dispy, do find that Covenant theology is at least able to be biblically in the dicussion, as they do tend to use the scriptures in a reasonable, though flawed method...

    can see this as being under the doctrines that christians can agree to 'dispute", just as long as those holding to Covenant views do NOT go all the way from an A mil to a full pretierism view!
