Does Barak and Michelle have a law license?

    Okay, even if this is true, which I still don't accept. What does it mean? Neither one live in Illinois and neither are practicing law there or anywhere.

    You have to accept public record. Facts are facts and I provided public records. Second no one just gives up their license regardless if they are or are not currently practicing law there. so how did they lose their licenses?

    You ruin all the fun MP. Facts are such tricky little things.

    Being 'inactive' would surely explain why they don't show up in a search.

    I am no fan of this president. I think he should be impeached for ordering the execution of a US citizen without a trial, but thus tired old stuff...

    Funny, if you read the OP carefully it says that one category that will not show up is 'inactive lawyers'

    Okay, I am sure she has terrible hidden secret that forced her to give up her licence and only this spurious blogger has figured it out.

    Let us know when he figures out what she did wrong. Until then...

    Come on, she is not authorized to practice because her licence is inactive.

    I would contend the dynamatic duel are still residents of Ill. They are simply in DC on a temporary basis (not to exceede 4 years :praying: ) due to got service.

    It was the same thing when I was in the military - I was still a resident of NY (and I was required to pay NY State Taxes) Thus the reason I offically changed my residence to Texas - after I had lived there!

    Okay, I give in. Both Obamas committed some heinous crime or horrible act that they were forced under pressure to give up their law licences in Illinois in order to avoid disbarment. No one knows about this however except some blogger and amateurs who think they can determine a lawyer's full status simply by searching a public record for active lawyers in Illinois. None of the president's opponents in either the primaries or general election found this out. None of his opponents in Congress know about it, even Snopes has been fooled, but we on the Baptist Board are all in on this little secret.

    Shouldn't someone call their Republican Congressman and tell them about this death knell for the Obamas?

    I read the snopes account and the situation sounds no different than if I let my teaching license go into inactive status because I'm doing something else. (A serious consideration btw).

    It is exactly like that. :) As usual, our favorite educator teaches well. :)

    Same as the fact that my spouse's real estate license is inactive, since she is no longer in that business.
