ANY Modern versions Done BY Scholars NOT commited to Inerrancy?

    Any translations done by those NOT accepting that the originals were inspired/inerrant?

    Plenty. But depends on what you mean by inerrancy.

    Having interacted with and read many of your posts on the matter your definition of inerrancy and mine (which is the Chicago Statement's view) aren't the same.

    Most major translations in English have at least several translators who would not affirm inerrancy. Does it makes the translation weaker? Nope.

    Wouldn't both of us affirm that the originals were without errors in them, and that in all they wrote about was factual accurate and true?

    So I guess we get back to the big question, if a scholar working on a translation doesn't, does that make the translation ineffective or illigetimate?

    My reply: Absolutely not.
