I pack my iPod with podcasts which I can listen to on the job and when exercising. Lately I have been thinking about unsubscribing from Hank Hanegraaf's podcast, not because of his incorrect eschatology and view on Revelation, but mostly due to his view of a worldwide flood (that the flood did not cover the entire earth) and his view that the earth is hundreds of thousands of years old. Also what he said about Ken Ham and that he does not read the Bible for all its worth, angered my spirit. Hanegraaf thinks he knows everything, but would not last long verses Ham and other more scholarly ministers. In my opinion I think his pride has hurt his ministry and his credibility.

    Who I listen to

    Back to the Bible
    Paul Chappell
    Charles Stanley
    John MacArthur
    Chuck Swindall
    James MacDonald
    The Way of the Master
    Greg Laurie
    RC Sproul
    Erwin Lutzer

I am aware that I have a mix of Calvinist, Reformed, and non calvinst here. I do not agree with the Reformed doctrine of RC Sproul at times, however he seems to hold the same view on subjects and themes of biblical ethics and morality like that of a Paul Chappell whom is probably the most non Calvinist on my list. Can someone recommend a replacement? It would have to be a podcast so no streams, thanks.. I tried Ravi Zacharias but did not like his evidential based apologetics and unsubscribed from him, so dont mention him. I found John Piper to be a very boring and non dynamic preacher so dont mention him, thanks..I would listen to David Jeremiah but he does not podcast.

    John

I cant stand that person. He is very arrogant and makes sweeping judgments on other pastors and evangelists. He also adds to the Bible in his arrogance. For example the Bible says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Washed re-interprets that verse and says he knows more than the many who disagree with him. Salvation is of God, but when a sinner is convicted and cries for repentance and salvation he/she will pray a prayer and call upon the name of the Lord. The Lord hears the prayer.. Washer throws the baby out with the bathwater on this one.

I also notice that MacArthur is against the sinners prayer. I called GTY and asked them why they are right and David Jeremiah, Erwin Lutzer, Charles Stanley, and Greg Laurie are wrong. The pastor was unable to answer that question…. I think its more of a pride issue of anything.

Another opportunity to share "who" or "what" I tap into for personal edification... opening the door for others to criticize, negatively label, and put down.

    LOL... I'll bite:

    Mark Driscoll
    Matt Chandler
    David Platt
    Mark Dever
    Craig Groeschel
    RC Sproul
    James MacDonald
    Johnny Mac (John MacArthur)
    Erwin McManus

    Let the games begin...

Jesus gave others the opportunity to follow Him in a real way making real commitments. Too many today are only giving intellectual opportunity and call that discipleship. Jesus does not call His followers to be saved in the worldly but to come out of the world and be separate and live among the worldly but not like them.

    Great question.

You may try www.bottradionetwork.com. You can listen online, or if available in your area, on the radio.

I can recommend Dr. Michael Youseff, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Dr. Ron Moore, and Dr, Tony Evans. You've already named some other preachers on this network whom you listen to.(Evans, to me is the least "theologically accurate" but he is motivational and loves the Lord.)

Also, the newest (free) e-sword (Bible program) has links to sermonaudio.com for each verse of Scripture (or at least most verses). It is available at www.e-sword.net.

My ipod is full of John MacArthur, Phil Johnson [GTY]---- and I have hours of J Vernon McGees Sunday sermons--I can listen to JVM for hours at a time [which I do while mowing, working around the house, etc]--don't always agree with him doctrinally but his sermons and mannerisms [dialect] are always entertaining and edifying at the same time! [Sunday Sermons and his Thru the Bible broadcasts are available for free downloads, not sure if there are podcasts or not:)]

You should only listen to Al Mohler if you...

    1. Know what "bifercate" and "emminatize the eschaton" mean.

    2. Want to hear the word "bifercate" in every other sermon.

Seriously, he says some good stuff, but often cannot get his brain out of Acadamia mode.

I did but thought he did a poor job with his audio quality and I unsubscribed as I could barley hear him.

I have heard of this person. Hmm…. Not everyone of quality podcasts. There is a certain IFB preacher on the local radio here that has no stream of podcast. I have no choice but to use a audio tape to capture his sermons. I dont like that method, but its my only way to capture him.

He also needs a new tech team as his audio quality was very very bad.

I hate to give Osteen credit but the facts are there. His tech team is TONS better than Al Mohlers. Osteens Podcasts played perfectly loud and clear in the tiny speaker of my old iBook G4. They also will play loud and clear in the speaker I attach my iPod too when I listen to podcasts. AL Mohler has got a problem with his podcasts. Osteen is a false teacher and I no longer listen to him. But when I did I was astounded with the quality of his podcasts from a technical standpoint.

I am on a Mac. That website is not in iTunes so it wont work. I listen to podcasts that can sync with my Ipod and they have to be in iTunes.

I have heard of Tim Keller. What books has he written? Wait did he write a commentary on Psalms 23 called a Shepherds look at Psa 23? Who was that? He has the last name of Keller.
