Those who don't accept is because of pride, because of their love of themselves, the love of darkness rather than Light.

Those who accept, because, as the others have posted; sin.....conviction.

Joh 3:19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
Joh 3:20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
Joh 3:21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."

Why does it not cause all to accept Jesus.

Why do some accept and others reject?

Or if you prefer, Why do some CHOOSE to accept and some CHOOSE to reject?

I have been told by some they believe in Jesus but are not ready to get right with God (I have been there).

Some say they do not believe in God.

Conviction of sin and because they are tired of what their sin has done to them brings men to Christ is why some do come.

Why are some children compliant and some are rebellious (even within the same family)?

Why do some people like spinach and some don't?

We are all different. Why did God make us different? I don't know. Why didn't He just choose Adam and Eve for salvation at the start, regenerate them, save them and be done with it? Why did He create sooo many people? Why didn't He just destroy Satan the moment he sinned?

We could go on and on, but we will not know everything on this side of heaven. We cannot put God in a little box and say here's the way it is and I can prove it. He is too big for us mere mortals to understand, so if you think you've got it all figured out, you are fooling yourself.

We can only go by what God has revealed to His.
We are sinners. We all know it. God has revealed Himself to all through creation and the conscience. (Rom 1)
More can be know more of God if one simply desires to know. (Matt 13:12)
Jesus is the propitiation for sin. (1 John 2:2)
We must exercise faith in Jesus to be saved from the wrath of God. (John 3:18)

This is what we know. The how and why will be argued til Christ's return.

Yes. The natural man has a heart of stone and rejects Jesus. God changed my heart of stone to a heart of flesh.

think that you have "hit the hammer on the head" here regarding my OP!

is there 'something" in us that reject/accepts Jesus and get saved, or is it 'something" external operating with/on us?
