I am one of many football fans that is pulling for Tom Tebow to make is as an NFL player and I believe his motives and actions are sincere. I do not question his salvation but I wonder If Satan is using this tebowing thing as a tool to polarize Christianity with all the web-sites, tee-shirts and such including all the hupla and the late night comedians making light of it. When the subject of prayer comes up I automatically think of Matt 6:6.

"But you when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Just because there is a negative response to it does not indicate that Satan is using it.

I was thrilled the day that my Broncos drafted Tebow. I am positive he is going to be a great one.

My Facebook profile photo is Tebow, and he is on one knee, praying.

I love it. He has amazing charisma, people will get saved as a result.

    And the mockery?
We as Christians will always be mocked.

I like Tim's testimony, but am not enamoured with him. I hope he does well in the NFL.

This 'tebowing' just seems silly to me though.

I heard famed Quarterback of years gone by----Terry Bradshaw---say regarding modern day quarterbacks

They all play with ladies high heel shoes on and they all wear skirts!!!

I like Tebow----good Christian testamony---but surely he's not the ONLY Christian QB in the NFL, is he???:saint::saint:

On the playing field----may he never be accused of wearing ladies high heel shoes and skirts!!!!!!:thumbs:

Being a football fan, I've seen players, notably qbs, in the past talk about Jesus while being interviewed after winning a game--one moment in time that sticks in my mind was when Jim Harbaugh was with the Colts years ago, and when they had a "lucky" run through the playoffs, he was on camera thanking his Lord Jesus Christ for this "blessing" etc etc......the next year his offensive line stunk and he was getting knocked around and the cameras were up on him after getting sacked and the word that came out of his mouth had nothing to do with Jesus Christ :(......I am afraid all too often people want to "use" Jesus as a good luck charm [I'm not judging Jim Harbaugh btw--he's coaching the 49ers now and I really don't know if he is still testifying or not, but I'm guessing not].....I pray this isn't the case with Tebow, time will tell.....and....btw, I wish him all the grace in the world.......until they play the Bears this year!

Although we lost our QB ysterdy :tonofbricks:

I have no idea what is going on with Tim Teboe.

Once college players go to the pro leages they basically drop off the face of the earth as far as I am concerned.

I remember when he was in college he put John3:16 under his eyes.

You know, people are so funny. If someone never shares their faith and testimony of Christ, they are criticized. If they do, they are criticized. No way to win. :tonofbricks:

A lot of people don't like Tebow because they don't think he's a legit NFL quarterback. It was a fair criticism, given his under-developed throwing motion and since he doesn't have an "NFL feel" for a quarterback, then Tebow started winning games.

    He's won, what four now?

I also think there's a lot of anti-evangelical bias out there and it is focused on him. He's a good guy, like I said. He has previously stated that he's waiting for marriage...that was a funny conversation/interview...and doesn't make a big deal over it. He's a fan of supporting life. Also, he wears Scripture on his eye black (which has caused some odd reactions from the commentators.)

Anyhoo...I like the guy and think he's got a decent future. Do I think he'll make a huge move and be an every day QB in the NFL? I dunno, but he's winning games and that says something right there.

Tim Tebow isn't affraid that men may make fun of his witness and I for one admire his openess to give thanks right then and there when thanks is due to the Lord. What evil men may make of his witness will be answered for. We also have to remember evil men will make fun of most anything, especially if it has anything to do with Jesus Christ.
