This is a good piece. I have been bewildered as people have embraced one RINO after another in the Republican Primary. I am not a Republican, but this year has been a year where I have seen the majority of the Republican electorate compromise almost every one of their major beliefs to support the candidate of the week.

What do you think of this piece?

    Thanks for sharing that!

A 'labor of love' here (or maybe just too much coffee this morning):

    1. Who said, “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose. I am not going to change pro-choice laws in any way”?

    A. Mitt Romney

    2. Who bragged about being a moderate with this comment, “There is a new synthesis evolving with the classic moderate wing of the party, where as a former Rockefeller state chairman, I’ve spent most of my life”?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    3. Who starred in a 2007 global warming commercial with Nancy Pelosi that was sponsored by Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    4. Who once famously said, “I don’t line up with the NRA”?

    A. Mitt Romney

    5. Who was paid $312,000 by ethanol interests and then said ethanol is good for national security and for the economy?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    6. Which candidate bragged about not being a Republican during the Reagan presidency and promised that if elected he would not “return to Reagan-Bush policies”?

    A. Mitt Romney

    7. Which candidate told Planned Parenthood that he supported state funding of abortion?

    A. Mitt Romney

    8. Which candidate has consistently supported the type of individual mandates for health insurance that conservatives are trying to overturn through court challenges to Obamacare? (Trick question: Two of three are correct answers.)

    A. Mitt Romney

    B. Newt Gingrich

    9. Which candidate went on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and called Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan “radical” and “right-wing social engineering”?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    10. Which candidate is the only GOP presidential contender to come out in full support of the Ryan plan?

    C. Jon Huntsman

    11. Which candidate bragged to CNN that he’s “the most seriously professorial politician since Woodrow Wilson”?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    12. Which candidate told Planned Parenthood that he supported the “substance” of the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade?

    A. Mitt Romney

    13. Which candidate said of the Medicare prescription drug plan that was the largest expansion of entitlements since the Great Society, “Every conservative member of Congress should vote for this Medicare bill. Obstructionist conservatives can always find reasons to vote no”?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    14. Which candidate attacked Steve Largent, Tom Coburn and other conservatives as “the Perfectionist Caucus,” while giving his last speech as speaker in support of Dick Gephardt and Dave Obey’s colossal Omnibus Bill of 1998?

    B. Newt Gingrich

    15. Which candidate was ranked by Cato Institute in 2008 one of the most fiscally conservative governors in America?

    C. Jon Huntsman

    16. Which candidate was cited by the Pew Center for running the “best-managed” state, hailed by Forbes magazine as the “most fiscally fit” and ranked first in the country for job creation?

    C. Jon Huntsman

    17. Whose economic plan does The Wall Street Journal consider the most impressive and conservative of the Republican presidential field?

    C. Jon Huntsman

    18. The American Conservative wrote this about which GOP candidate, “For the past two decades a ‘moderate’ Republican was one who didn’t generally side with his party on three issues: taxes, guns and abortion. [This candidate’s] record on those isn’t just to the right of the moderates. It is to the right of most conservatives”?

    C. Jon Huntsman

    19. Which candidate was praised in a Club for Growth report for reforming health care with “no individual mandate, no employer mandate and no provision for a massive expansion of subsidized care unlike Obamacare or Romney’s plan”?

    C. Jon Huntsman

    20. Who are the real RINOs here? (Feel free to circle two.)

    A. Mitt Romney
    B. Newt Gingrich

This GOP field is quite comical. They are really close to screwing this one up.

Beating Obama should be the easiest thing in the world, but this GOP field is turning it into a contest. The nominee might still win, but I find it baffling how poor this field is.

If the field had a candidate like Reagan instead of a field of Reagan-worshiping (at least in appearance) drones, the GOP candidate might be more successful.

While I am glad that two of these men are being exposed as for what they are it is clear that this was intended to promote one candidate, Huntsman.
I would rather they had applied the same diligence, pointing out the flaws, of all the major republican candidates as they did with just the two.
Although I am not associated with any party I am not leaning towards Paul and that leaves an uncertain concern running through me.

Of course they are RINOs. Note whom the Democrats WANT elected if it goes that way... Romney. Why? Same reason they fronted McCain. Most like them and most apt to continue to work with them.

Who are the destroying with innuendo on a daily basis? Cain, Perry, Palin (I know, I know, yet...) and anyone else who is truly conservative.

One other word, I'm up in the air about whether or not the Democrats actually want to win the next term. I'm of a mind that they are planning to loose on purpose, just to destroy the Repubicans forever. With virtually all of Obama's legislature coming online in and after 2012, I cannot imagine that any Democrat would actually want to be there to take the heat for all that "change." But, Obama being the maniac that he is, perhaps he thinks that his god-like power will be enough to overcome those obstacles.

In any case, watch that this election will be one where ANY Republican that runs will be vilified with the most horrendous of accusations, whether true or not. Cain is just the test case -- to see if it is possible to manipulate the thought of the citizenry enough to pull it off. It will be more and worse! I said it first. Watch and weep. If Jesus ran against Obama, the voters would likely reject Him after the PR campaign that will have been run against him by Obama and company. The Republicans will still likely win, but the seeds of doubt will have been placed firmly in mind well before they take office, so that after the fact, the Democrats can stand up as heros and impeach the rascal and save the day... :BangHead:

Politics is the art of compromise, something difficult for right wing Christians to understand.

It is not so much that they do not understand it, but that they are not interested in playing that game.

Any compromise that moves the country to the left is a win for the left and a loss for the right.

That's some good coffee yer a drinkin! By the way, I knew the answer to #2 was Newt Gingrich as soon as I saw the words "new synthesis evolving" in the comments. He always talks like that.

This seems to be you claiming this is your work. Did you copy and paste this from RPF? This appears to be plagiarism. What does coffee have to do with a copy and paste?

    ???

You and NiteShift are quick to accuse (and I still don't get it why it would matter, whether I C & P from one site or from another). I used the article from the OP.

My intent was simply to provide a single page with singlular answers for everyone's viewing ease and pleasure. For some reason you and NiteShift have decided to attempt to smear me for doing that very simple deed.

I wonder how he would rate on a 'RINO scale' of 1 to 10 compared with all the others. I doubt he would be on the bottom.

On a 'constitutionally minded' scale, he would win hands down above all others.

Yes and he is looking more and more like the only one who will stand up for the people.

The OP was who is a RINO - nothing was said about a scale. This is the same trick that politicians use. Give a good answer and they try to divert the issue.

Because you did not give proper attribution regardless of which site it was. And in fact your post makes it appear that it was your work even discounting proper attribution.

...between Romney, Gingrich, and Huntsman. Nothing was said about Ron Paul.
