    But maybe there's hope:
"The bill has drawn a veto threat from the Obama administration and raised an outcry on the left and the right, opening a crack in what has been - since the 9/11 attacks - a united Republican front favoring broad war-making and detention powers by the executive branch.

Would not most of you be pleased if the ARMY arrests the OWS protestors and they disappear?

My apologies; my second post was in reference to the legislation identified in the opening post.

This is very, very bad legislation.

It is more then bad. It is part of what I have been telling you was coming. This is all just the beginning. It is time for our sons and daughters in the military to tell them enough is enough and they want out and those who are looking to enter, don't go.

Bill I am telling you, that is what is coming. When the legislator, both parties, has the courage to strip away a constitutional right as they have here, we the people are in serious trouble! The people are being put to sleep and the military is being brain washed to accept this kind of stuff all in the claim of national security.

    Wait, refresh my memory.

Were you not in favor of Obama using a drone to kill a U.S. citizen not too long ago - because he was posting pro-terrorist stuff on the internet?

Yes but that was not this. That man was outside the country and setting up attacks against this nation. This law does away with the right to a trial or even a lawyer for those citizens here in this country just for being accused of being involved after they have beena arrested. WAKE UP! It is people like you who are helping this kind of thing happen.

The only thing consistent about your views is your inconsistency.

How do you know that he was setting up attacks? Because the government that executed him without a trial said so?

Your rail against the police shooting someone who came to the door with an automatic weapon - and advocate executing cerfew violators by sniper.

You rail against suspected terrorists being held without a lawyer or trial - and applaude the execution of a U.S. citizen by drone attack without the benefit of trial.

You laud our men and women in uniform protecting out country - and denigrate them as violent and criminal and murderous when they return home and become police officers.

Is there more than one person using your Baptistboard login?

Just hang in their with your views and watch your constitutional rights being stripped away and once they are gone they are not coming back.

If it happens it will be because of people who advocate the execution of citizens by sniper fire or drone planes without the benefit of trial.

Won't work FAL, the reinstitution of mandatory military service is coming soon to America (probably after the "election") - AKA The Draft.

Question: if all the ones who recognize this as unconstitutional quit the military, then who's left?
Answer: all the ones who don't recognize it, for whatever reason, and will follow those orders unchecked.

Question: if we all quit the military, and keep our sons and daughters from joining, how do we defend our nation?
    Answer: . . . .

Yes it will work. They end up in prison, but they can still refuse.

Yes I know that and that attitude is why we will become a military state. While the military personnel will be convinced that they seek to protect they will in fact be destroying it fabric.
