My dh is worse than a kid at Christmas and can rat out his gifts like a coon dog hunting in the dark. He's already found his "big" gift and some stocking stuffers I had hidden from him.:BangHead:

So, who has some tried and true places to hide gifts from inquisitive eyes this time of year? Here's a few I've found where dh will not go:
Under the bathroom sink with all the make-up and girlie items
Under the kitchen sink with the CLEANING supplies
In the deep freeze under last years' frozen bell peppers.
In the laundry room cupboard with the mousetraps

    Big no-no's so far are:
sock/underwear drawers (first place the kids look)
    in the shed/outbuilding
    in the pantry or fridge
    in the attic

(yes, I know I'm not a woman, but can't resist commenting)

If kids, or a spouse, insist on snooping, I would simply return whatever items they find. Then when they ask what happened to the gift, I'd tell them I returned it since I wanted to keep it a surprise. Guess what will happen the next year? Yep...no snooping.

How about store them at a friends house until you're ready to wrap them?

I like to hide the gifts at the store. Very little gifts exchanged on Christmas morning. By the time the year has passed and we've helped the kids (grown up and on their own) when they have been financially embarrassed.... well, there isn't much left for gifts.

Oh, what did you get me Daddy? It's a receipt for the tires I bought you in August.

Double box them, and wrap them. Then if he tears open the paper on the corner to see what it is, there will be no clue. If he opens it, shoot him. (LOL)

There are no secrets in our house! The kids all have their present and will get money under the tree (of course I TOLD them I was wrapping the boxes to what i gave them and making them open them as if they didn't know what it was! :D ) I have my present too. T doesn't have his yet. I gotta go shopping next week despite his orders to "not get him anything". But I know what he is getting, just need to go pick it up!

I like this one. Double boxes just looks like I'm saving storage space in the attic. . .hmm.

Leave it in plain sight. Seriously.. This man will spend hours looking for something sitting right in front of him but can find my church shoes for me in two seconds after they were randomly kicked off the week before and one was fished out to kill a spider with and wasn't even near the other. I think that's a guy thing!
