You left out "None of the above". I haven't heard of any of them and am not in the least interested in politics since politicians are pathological liars.

Mitt Romney because I think he's the best chance to beat Obama. Some people don't like him because he's a mormon but I don't care God can use anyone he wants.

Are we voting for a pastor or a president? It should be noted mormons view the constitution as almost holy writ.

I couldn't vote in this poll...the "no idea" option wasn't available. I'll check back after the primary.

I have bounced around between Cain, Paul, and Newt, not necessarily in that order, but think I have finally settled on Santorum for the primary, although I guess that could always change in the next month. It seems to me from all I have read so far on the candidates, he is the best on the sanctity of life at each end of the spectrum of age. But, I may have missed something, and so will still be listening and reading closely til primary day in our state.

Webby, I usually agree with all of your posts, but I do have reservations about this one.

First of all, who would represent fundamental Christian morals better than Christian? A president is not your pastor, but he is your leader, do you want Christian leadership or Mormon, Islamic, ect, leadership?

Secondly, a man seeking the guidance of the HS as he rules is by far the ideal person to rule our nation. Looking to John Smith or Mohammad for guidance is not going to benefit us one bit.

Personally, would I trust my children's future with Christian leadership 100 times more than anybody else's.

Now, here is the problem. Obama claims to be a Christian, but his policies and his actions show completely the opposite. Soooo, how do we know who really leads in a Christian way, and under the guidance of the HS?

So yes, I would always cast my vote for a born again Christian no matter what....the only problem is identifying the true born again Christian.

Both Newt and Mitt make me uneasy. I like Michelle Bachman but I don't think she's quite ready. Ron Paul has some positions that I like, but he makes me uneasy, as well.

Right now I'm leaning toward Santorum.

The dilemma always seems to be there for the Republicans. Do we vote for the one whose views we like, or do we vote for the one who can beat Obama?

So are we willing to accept the less-than-perfect candidate who can beat the President? Or is ideological purity the primary concern?

 

Gingrich makes me nervous too.

So you are basically saying at the time this poll was conducted I have to know who I'm voting for...and not take the time to research further before actually voting in my primary months from now? I'm surprised anyone voted this soon!

 

my primary is not until the summer, and I will keep my options open right up until the primary. Its foolish to take such a concrete stand with 7 months to go. That's a ton of information that can still be made known and chewed over. What if it surfaces Ron Paul is a cross dresser?
