    I know most of those facilities were WWI era, at least where I was. Mannheim - Turley barracks I think, wasn't there very long. Was moved to Worms - Taukkunen Barracks.

    I think alot of those barracks have been closed down now. TheUS kept an awful lot of Germans employed repairing and maintaining those Kasernes.

    The Brits were posted mostly in northern Germany. I was on temporary duty in Hannover for a little while and the Germans thought I was British also...lol. I just went along with the gag.

    Very interesting. I must say there have been changes to Sullivan Barracks since I was stationed there, 1960-62.
