Evangelical Feminist Claims from Genesis 1-3

I have found CBMW to be both reasoned and right in their assessment of the arguments.

The Bible is decidedly not egalitarian, but many have made it so because they see it through their own particular worldview lens, which distorts what is written.

The big issue regarding gender is that God made man, intentionally, the head and woman the helpmate. We (as in humans) have decided that God's way is not best, and we have went off the deep end in both directions, first by making man "king" over his spouse (which is wrong) and second by ignoring the distinctions between man and woman. In truth, it takes one partner to take the first step of the dance, but equal strength to dance the dance. Woman is equally adopted as a "son" before God, and is of equal worth in the kingdom. Men and women's roles may be different but their position is equal.

 

One of the major attacks in this debate in the last few years is an attack on the Trinity by the non-complimentarians. Several non-complimentarian scholars have stated that saying that each person of the Trinity is equal but with differing roles is contradictory.

I know there was a debate a couple of years ago where Dr. Bruce Ware defended the traditional view of the Trinity, he also defended complimentarianism.

Yet, I note that the point is well taken. If you believe that complimentarianism is an attack on the equality of man and woman then you have to wrestle with the role of each person of the Trinity. In the Trinity is a great display of differing roles while displaying equality.

 

God chose to express Himself to us as a "father", not "Mother", Jesus was/is His Son, not daughter...

Think that per Bible, especially jesus and paul....
men/women equals befiore God, in sense BOTH co heirs of salvation, both in image of God

Same position as being human/saved BUT differing in their roles/positions before God!

Men are called to be head of the family, Head Authority in the church...

BUT, also commanded to do that as unto the lord, and in same way jesus did it! leading from strenght/power/ and love!
