I've not read it. Here is an interesting link that exposes books like these, and others. Along the left side there is a long list of authors that have been refuted or questioned:

Yes, I've read it and started a thread about it not to long ago.

It was a great book. I don't know how true it is as I've never been to heaven yet. I'll find out someday.

    LOL! But it's actually a lady. :)

I don't necessarily endorse that site, I just ran into it while googling the book freeatlast talks about in the OP.

    Merry Christmas!!!!

I have never read the book, but if you want to know if heaven is for real and what it looks like, then read your bible (God's word).

If the boy has any new information in this book then that is new revelation not in the bible, and God was clear about any new revelation.

If the boy has no new revelation then what good is this book when you already have the bible?

I read the book "Heaven is For Real" and found it to be much like the others (90 Minutes in Heaven, etc). I have real questions about certain aspects of the account. One way or the other, the Bible is God's revelation concerning heaven. Going beyond that is always a bit risky (imo).

I am suspect of all the heaven and hell stories. I saw the little boy that the book is about on Dateline or one of those type shows recently and the interviewer asked him what Jesus looked like. The little boy said "well, he had blue eyes.....". That's when he lost me. I turned the channel.

I'm with the crowd that is suspicious of any books or testimonies that go beyond what Scripture reveals concerning heaven, hell, or anything to do with the afterlife. They are the equivalent of ancient Gnosticism.

However, there is a LOT more revealed in Scripture about heaven than most people realize. It is SO much more than mere singing before the throne, and no cloud sitting at all...

Is heaven for real? Absolutely. God says so!

Is the book, Heaven is for Real, true? Probably not... And even if it was, so what. Knowing, other than what God has already shown us, is not really worth anything other than to make us ever more anxious to be there in God's presence.

Have not read the book. I might if I can get my hands on a copy without spending any money. Same for the others on the same subject. I read a lot and try to be discerning in the Berean sense.

One last thought... I've found that after reading some of the books that just seem to enlighten one about God or eternity, etc., (The Shack, In His Steps, etc.) I want to share the book with EVERYONE. That is my first clue that there may be an issue at hand with the book. I should have the same desire for the Bible, but instead am drawn to special books that seem to make God more alive, etc. That generally indicates that the work is a counterfeit and not worthy of sharing at all, and I relegate the work to the back shelf to use as reference material with the Book of Mormon and other works of fiction that do not accurately portray the God revealed in Scripture.

I wonder if he has a picture of Jesus hanging in his house :)

I will say that the canon is closed and if this boy and the other similar authors' account is true it would need to be added in. Not buying the story.
