As the title of this thread suggests. List the translations you have used (or seen used) to lead someone to salvation in Christ.

I would run this as a poll, but there are too many translations in too many languages to provide for a poll that doesn't beg the question.

Let's keep this upbeat! We are talking about using God's Word to lead people to Christ. This should be a joyful topic!

I will go first, seeing as how I started this thread.

I have personally used (roughly sorted by date when I used them, but many have been used at various times depending on the circumstances and the available text when witnessing) the following versions to lead people to Christ:

    KJV (1769)
    NKJV
    Good News Translation
    Amplified Bible
    NIV (1984)
    NASB
    NASB (1995)
    Nestle-Alland (Greek)
    Young's Litteral Translation
    NLT
    RSV
    New Century Version
    Living Bible (paraphrase)
    Reina-Valera (1995)
    The Message (paraphrase)
    HCSB
    ESV

I only plant the seed, what verson matters little. It's a flesh question, like what brand butter you use to make a Happy Thanksgiving lol.

    KJV, 新改訳(Shinkaiyaku), 口語訳(Kougoyaku)

My sister just found a little KJV NT my Dad used when pastoring in Thorton CO (Denver suburb) for five years. Had tally marks for 81 won to Christ by Dad with that little NT.
