It’s time that guys who call themselves believers in Christ start acting like it.

How do you think that can be achieved?

They could quit wearing those annoying, shiny black wing-tips and tapping their toes and nodding during the music. It's so...unmanly looking.

But for reals...I keep hearing everyone yell this but I don't see the problem everyone keeps saying exists. Most of the people yelling it are just mad that men have starting realizing that being a man doesn't mean beating your wife over the head with submission verses and deciding for her on what she should do with her life while the man goes to work and hits on the secretary behind the hidden door. The guys who don't like this recent turn of events for the better, this newly discovered ancient way of how things SHOULD be, have subsequently decided that men aren't being men anymore and are desperately trying to get back to the "good old days."

Give our men the credit they deserve. My husband and the majority of men in my church do a great job of being men.

Christians in general have gotten pretty lazy, but half of Christians are women so we can't go that route either to justify bashing men.

That said, that was a pretty good article that didn't do what I'm so used to (and sick of) seeing when it comes to talking about men "manning up." Plus I really liked the hashtag deal, it made me laugh.

So basically you are just trying to promote your blog? Is that how you man up?

I don't mind his promoting his blog at the bottom of the post, but I would like for the subject matter to be posted here.

Oooh, I just noticed. This is my 7,000th post. I need to get a life.

    Matt-
No, I man up by spending time with my family (hence the 57th post) I man up by romancing my wife... by lovingly serving her as Christ loved the church.

I man up by leading my children to the throne room, and praying for them...and not just some "Jesus thank you for this day...amen prayers." I'm manning up by showing my kids what it looks like to love and follow Jesus.

I'm manning up by not making excuses as to why I am missing church...I GO!

I'm manning up by NOT sitting in front of a computer or TV for HOURS on end...

I man up by showing my family that they matter!

    What are you doing?

    LOVE YA!
    oh by the way:

"man doesn't mean beating your wife over the head with submission verses"

Consider the term submit, it is derived from two items, "sub" meaning under and "mit" meaning fist. Right?

Well, maybe not, never seem to get that across when I teach it :)

By guys I assume you mean males. Pull their pants up, turn their hat around, get the earring out of their ears, put off childish and foolish things, learn responsibility, integrity, honesty, godliness with self denial, but above all walk in the Spirit.
