I actually contacted ARL a couple of weeks ago. Even though I showed them decisively that there view was incorrect (and others have, as well), they refuse to support any alternate method or strategy of pro-life protections.

The fact is, the repeal of Roe vs Wade, the returning of the rights to the states, and the definition of life from conception (all things that Paul supports), would make abortion illegal, NOT because it was some newly defined crime, but because it would be regular old murder. Paul supports states rights to decide punishment in there own states for crimes. This does NOT equate to state by state "pro-choice" as the ARL so erroneously claims.

But, the ARL have their "picks" for candidates, and so they are looking for ways to reject any one else. They are establishment hacks. Wait and watch; they will end up endorsing Romney, over Paul, even though Romney has a pro-abortion record and refuses to sign their pledge...

Actually, I had a similar situation with the Constitution Party. I spoke to them about receiving their endorsement (which could have put me on an ballot line in addition to my registered Conservative Party line.

Hoverer there was concern when I mentioned that if a vote came up to outlaw abortion except for the life of the mother or rape; I would vote for the bill - in that over 90% of abortions would be prevented. However they saw it as a compromise. I consider myself conservative - I would say they are Extremely ultra conservative.

I guess the Ron Paul smears are so tired you guys are rotating them, now ?

Ron Paul is a tax & spend liberal who wants g@y marriage, will legalize abortion for twelve year olds, will decimate the military, and will read bedtime stories form the koran to that Achmadinnerjacket dude, all while personally hanging black people on the white house lawn.

Is that the gist of it ?
