The McNeil/Battles translation being offered is considered the definitive English edition of the Institutes. Although I’ve not read this edition I’ve heard it is considered much more readable. The footnotes and indexes are extensive, unlike the free versions.

In the Logos 4 edition you will be able to cross-reference to any sources Calvin cites to the works you may also have in your digital library, for example when he refers to the Church Fathers, you can see the original Greek or Latin text (or a translation of it) with a click of the mouse.

I’ve desired the dead-tree version for years but have never gotten down to ordering it. It's quite a long read!!!
The digital version is even more desirable so I'm considering it

....but recognize if I get it I'll have to read it again.
