Well that explains the comment made during Sunday's sermon to the effect that any who had left the local Episcopal congregation for the new Anglican one would be welcomed back with no questions.

Why do churches have to be such a messy business? None of this sounds like anyone is remembering to love their neighbors as themselves. sigh.

The Anglican Mission in America (AMiA) and the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA) are 'Mission Partners'. The AMiA are the ones with 'spat' with the Anglican Church of Rwanda.

The Episcopal Church has continued to try to get the many departing congregations that have left it, because they have lost their theological moorings, for the ACNA and AMiA to return. To my knowledge, none have, and doubtful any will.

It does seem to be a bit of a 'black eye' on those conservative churches that have chosen to affiliate with AMiA instead of ACNA. Messy business continues with congregations leaving PCUSA, ELCA as well, lawsuits etc.
