    Has anyone read this book?

    Invasion of Other Gods

Looks like a real winner and for only $4.00 (includes shipping) I purchased a copy and await its arrival. Jeremiah like Keller, and other authors has a winsome writing style that holds my attention (even as someone with ADD). In seminary I read plenty of very technical authors that put me to sleep. I am glad to read books from authors that hold my attention and Jeremiah is one of several that do so.

Well no doubt what Jeremiah says is accurate about the New Age movement and its great influence in our society. I think he or Pastor Lutzer mentioned Oprah Winfrey as being big time new age.

Although I've never read this book, the "new age" spirituality is something I know quite a bit about. My ex-husband was the high priest of Nature's Sanctuary, the only legally recognized pagan church in North Dakota. During the time we were married he wouldn't allow me to be a Christian. I had to follow his beliefs, rituals, and magick.

From being a part of that group for a couple of years, I can tell you that the majority of the people who follow Wicca, paganism, and other new age religions are good people who believe they are doing the right things. After all, the Wiccan Rede is "And ye harm none, do what ye will." They're not devil worshippers or Satanists. I do believe they are misguided, but they believe that we're misguided too. Many of the people who were part of that group were Catholics or Lutherans who had some spiritual issues with their churches in their youth. They ended up turning from Christianity in general and seeking out something different, something where they believed they were in control. Paganism does offer that aspect of letting people believe that they are in control of their own destiny. Good works are important to them, not faith in their gods. Yes, they believe in their many gods and call upon them while participating in circle rituals and such, but belief in their gods does not "save" them. They believe everyone goes to the same place, called the Summerlands, when we all die. No matter how many good or bad works you do, it doesn't matter. We all go there. Then we have the opportunity to be reborn if we wish.

People who follow New Age spirituality definitely are growing in population. More well-known members of this belief have a tendency to attract a strong following, such at the author Silver RavenWolf or founder of Wicca Gerald Gardner. Many pagans that I knew were very outspoken people, unafraid to express their beliefs or do what they could to garner support for the New Age movement.

It sounds allot like the devil and his followers are trying to make evil look good to deceive the unsaved, the gullible, and those lacking the gift of spiritual discernment. I have this gift and will not fall for the devil's lies. I look forward to the book which will greatly expose the lies. Jeremiah is not as hard on false deceivers as MacArthur is, so he may write it from a different look than if MacArthur wrote such a book.

500 bonus points goes to the postmodernist whom replies and says that I am "judgmental" for calling evil the way it is.
