Yep, you, me ... men and women workers ... and women in general. There are lots of links to this and, again, the Republicans come off as not caring for women or the average person.

Does the author of the OP even know what the Wisconsin Equal Pay Law said?

    I doubt it.

Without knowing the specifics of the law or the real world effects of it's implementation how does Crabby know if the repeal was a good thing or a bad thing?

I have a simple solution to all this. Let the women start their own company and they can pay higher wages to women than they do to men.

Oh wait, its almost impossible to start a new business with all the government regulations and red tape.....

the democrats come off as not caring for women or the average small businessman.

It's the appearance of caring they are after. Results don't matter.

And the results are usually more harmful that what they believe that they are fixing.

A critical look at the democrat-controlled media reaction to the Trayvon Martin case will tell any thinking person who is waging the real war, and upon whom it is being waged in this country.

Supporting business does not equate to being against workers.

If we dont have businesses, then we have no jobs for workers. Why cant liberals understand this basic fact.

CTB, when is the last time a poor person gave you a job? Especially one with the benefits you believe you are entitled to simply because you breathe?

And as far as women go, I think most conservatives just believe that it is the male's role to lead. The Bible even teaches that.

Conservatives love women, cherish women and protect women. They arent at war with them.

And if by being at war with women you are talking about abortion, birth control, Planned Parenthood, ect....then you are promoting class warfare and trying to give the impression that conservatives hate women so that you can promote your agenda. Nothing more or less.

Christian liberal? Another oxymoron? How can a person be Christian and support abortion, forced participation in birth control insurance and health care mandates? Not to mention gay marriage, redistribution of wealth and socialism in general.

I notice that no one addresses the subject of equal pay for the same work. Just crying and trying to avoid the subject I guess.

Leslie Marshall, who appears weekly on The O'Reilly Factor, America Live, monthly on Hannity and she sits in for Bob Beckel as one of the co hosts on The Five. puts is pretty bluntly.....................

Now you Republican apologizes can cry, dance and stick you heads in the sand, but come Nov., it will be time to cry, cry, cry, if there is not a huge, convincing change in the attitude and proposals of GOP legislators.

You already started a thread with that comment. I thought it was against the rules, to do that.

The truth is, the Equal Pay Enforcement Act was just another expensive boondoggle. He was right not to waste taxpayer's money with that nonsense.

The equal pay ammendment is a federal law. It should be heard in federal courts. And there are plenty of free services available to those who have a case.

Actually the phrase is "equal pay for equal work".

Meaning that the government is supposed to decide which two different jobs are worthy of the same pay.

Perhaps if so many women werent having irresponsible sex then government financed birth control, abortion and TANF would not be needed for single mothers having babies out of wedlock.

Since when should working families be responsible for the bad decisions of single moms?

Equal pay? Who doesnt get equal pay? Can you name someone personally?

I keep hearing this argument but in real life i have never encountered it. Name me a job or a person where a woman gets paid less just because she is female.

And Leslie Marshall has no substance to any argument at all. At least Beckel can explain why he believes what he does (same for Juan Williams), but Leslie Marshall just repeats Liberal talking points. She has no idea what she is really talking about.

    Kind of like you.

    Just one more question.

If single women (and men) can spend the money to go out partying and get pregnant, shouldnt they have $9 a month to buy their own birth control?

John, does that apply to men as well as women? And what does that have to do with legal discrimination of unequal pay for equal work?

Like when a union member working on the assembly line is paid more than the guy working right next to him doing the exact same job - just because he has worked there longer?

Is that the "legal discrimination of unequal pay for equal work" that Crabby is talking about?

Seriously, Crabby has no concept of what he is talking about.

He has no idea what libs mean by "equal pay for equal work".

Can a woman have irresponsible sex alone? Is the man, at the same time, is having responsible sex. What about the man's responsibility? Or do you believe it is alright for the single man to walk away and take no responsibility for his part in the act?

Who says they are all single?

Oh yes. I could name many. But I do not believe I should post real names on the Internet.

The job I was in for one. Women were always paid less. What world do you live in anyway?

Fortunately, it is true that women, on average, are catching up and it is possible that by 2040 they will earn more then men. Would you like that?

    Nice dodge. ROFL.

Unless there is change watch the election results and cry.

So, you believe that it is a right, an ethical thing to do, have people in the same job but not pay them equally. Would you like it if the lower paid person were you? You cried in the past about jobs going overseas to lower paid people. That fits you philosophy as you express it, or dance around it in this thread, pay as little as possible, especially to women and minorities.

So, the governor of Wisconsin has handed power back to the Federal government? Do you like that?

First of all your Leslie Mashall quote was about pregnancy, birth control, ect so I answered it.

As I pointed out, yes, men need to be responsible for themselves as well.

And further, where are these women who get paid less for equal work? Name me a job or a woman that is discriminated against. i keep hearing this but have never seen it myself.

Hillary Clinton is just the opposite. She gets the same pay as any other SoS, but she cant do the job as well as a man. Why? Because she cannot sit across the table and get the respect of man when negotiating with Muslims, Asians other cultures that dont respect women. It's not Hillary's fault, but it is still a fact.
