    It's not Obama's fault.

How is he supposed to know what Christians believe?

    It's his speech writers fault.

Mat_14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Mat_21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Joh 16:5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
Joh 16:6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

First of all, Jesus preached against doubt during His whole ministry.

Secondly, when the apostles expressed doubt He rebuked them.

No Jesus did not have any doubt. I think He had sadness, but no doubt.

    John

The mere fact that Christ - while bleeding drops of blood from His forehead - told the Father that He (Jesus) would submit to His (God's) will and said that His own will (Jesus') was not what He was looking to fulfill shows clearly that Jesus Christ had not one ounce of doubt in His being.

However, I do believe that the sweating of the drops of blood did show a severe anxiety of some sort - but it was not a sinful state. Jesus did ask for that cup to be taken away from Him. He knew what was coming - the pain, the "becoming" sin, the torture, being "forsaken", and the agony of death. Whatever word one chooses to describe Jesus' terrible emotional state in the garden - it was an agonized state without sin. And we know that because He couldn't have been the Lamb of God if He had sin and we know that because even in the worst mental and emotional state imaginable - He trusted God infinitely more that His agony.

I'm not going to bash the President for this gaff. Yes, he was off the mark - but not light years off. His point was well-taken even though his support of it was wrong.

In an ever increasing secular society, and with Islam being more and more advocated as being a legitemant religion, I will welcome with open arms ANY reading of the scriptures publicly, by ANY president.

I'm surprised the the A.C.L.U. has not called a press conferance demanding Obamas resignation for speaking the christion scriptures.

Has anyone ever heard anyone ever before say other than THE Son God?

    This was not a slip.

    This was not a gaffe.

Yeah. I mean, what if Mr. Obama would have quoted some of the "stuff" he learned in the 20 years he was at Jeremiah Wright's church instead of what the hypnoprompter said? Now THAT would be an interesting Easter message from Mr. Obama.

Some believe that this is referring to angles.

So you believe that "these sons of God" are equal to Jesus?

Is that what you and Obama believe?

That Jesus is just one of many?

Sounds like he got his theology from the twisted movie "The Last Temptation of Christ".

No it's not. Satan has always tried to kill the line of Christ, beginning in Genesis when Cain killed Able.

I agree he has but that doesn't add up to angels procreating with women.

If Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin then he must have had doubts, fears, etc. else he would not have been tempted in every way as this verse says.

Have you read the book of Enoch? Jude 6 borrows from this book in which the story is told of wicked angels co-habitating with women and God judging their offspring with the flood. Also in Jude14, the book of Enoch is quoted. So to say it is silly must mean that Jude was silly also.

Jud 1:14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones,

I do not see Jude suggesting that angels co-habitat with women

Yea I read what you posted. But just because he barrows or quotes it does not add up to angels and women having sex. You are better off believing in Big Foot.

I don't think so. Is there a chapter in the bible about big foot? Read the book of Enoch. Compare it to Genesis 6, 2 Peter 2:4-5, and Jude 6, then we can talk.
