Obama started the Dog War. Now he has to take his licks like a man. Wanna bet he turns this into some kind of poor me story?

 

With the other thread about the "Buffet Rule" I thought this thread must be related. Then I reread the other one. It's the "BuffeTT Rule"-with two T's :laugh:

(And I'm not even a blond-no offense to any one who is.)

Given the free pass that the left extended to PETA when the whole thing about them killing animals broke, I think it's fair to say that whatever pup Obama munched on will hardly appear on the media radar.

 

Unfortunately, I disagree with you this time. I think the liberals will keep it around in order to garner the PETA vote. Just have to examine how the same people will react to Obama's admission that he was fed dog meat, and was promised tiger meat.

 

Who cares? I see a big difference between eating, say, a cow and in putting the cow on top my car and driving several hundred miles.

Different cultures eat different foods and often misinterpret what we are seeing. I remember a fellow from China telling me that the first time he saw an American eating a plate of spaghetti he thought it was a plate of bloody worms.

When in Africa, eat as the Africans eat. When in China, eat as the Chinese eat, etc., etc., etc.

 

And when with Andrew Zimmern eat as Andrew Zimmern eats.

The only food in China I could not bring myself to taste was the 100 year old eggs. I just could not get past their looks. To my knowledge I never ate dog, but I did eat some pretty strange, strange to Americans taste, foods.

 

The worst thing (IMO) I saw Andrew eat on his show Bizzare Foods was in a presentation done in the Philippines (I'm guessing). A duck egg with a late stage fetal duckling inside the egg. YECK!!

Worst thing I ever eat is lobster tamale - pretty tame relative to Andrew Z.

On second thought some people think pig's feet are gross. I like them cooked in spaghetti sauce. My family wont even stay around when I consume them (I make grunting sounds to gross them out to the max).

You better have a strong roof if you plan to drive around with a cow on it. Me, personally, I have a soft top Jeep, so no domestic or barnyard critters ever ride on top.

I don't really think either is that big of a deal. But I live out in the sticks. People here eat weird stuff all the time. I've seen dogs in dog boxes, in trunks, the backs of pick ups, I've seen cows being hauled loose in the beds of trucks, I've even seen a dude who rides around in his Zook with a goat in the passenger seat.

Seamus, the Romney's dog, was an Irish Setter if memory serves me. No offense to any one who has one-they are great dawgs! But they ain't real bright. The dog likely got over it really quick. Whatever pooch Obama ate is not too worried about it anymore, either. Why are we?

(I must add that I am a dog lover. Both of my mutt-butts are sprawled out on my feet under my desk.)

 

From reading your post, I seriously doubt you have any idea why this story surfaced.

If you do, then your response may be an indication of the spin Obamanuts will put on it.

They taste a little like the stuff that accumulates on car battery terminals.

 

One of the best dishes in rural China is noodles and poodles. Once you get past the smell, it tastes pretty much like chicken.
