I got bored at work today.

I've been alive on God's green earth for 370 months. I have been married for 127 of those months.

So 34% of my life thus far I have been married.

    How about you guys/gals?

It's kind of weird to put things into numbers. I've been married 1/3 of my life. You've been married 1/5 of your life.

I spent less time in HS and College combined than the amount of time I've been married.

I'm also the youngest of three, and in my immediate family I have the longest married time (my dad passed away and my mom remarried, but this was after I got married). Kind of fun to rub that into my mom, brother and sister that I've got more current marriage years under my belt :tongue3:

Does it fell like you've been married that long? Does time fly by?

It does and it doesn't. Obviously, I married really young and so married life is mostly what I know. It's pretty much all of my adult life! But it seems like yesterday that we said our vows but then I look at all of the life we lived in there and it amazes me that it was so long ago. My oldest daughter is 22 - older than I was when I married. My second daughter will be 20 in July. THAT amazes me!

I got married when I was 20 as well. I don't really remember much of "single" life, because I was in school and being "single" wasn't really a thing.

Almost sounds like you and I were the same on kids ages too (or close). We had our first a 25 and second at 28.

Yep - but then I kept going. :D Had 2 miscarriages during fertility treatments, quit the fertility treatments then had one at 35 and another at 37. NOW I'm done. LOL

I don't want anymore. Now I have to convince my wife of that.

    674 months alive

    454 married

    67.5% of my life married

and yes to the same wife. Notice I didn't say to the same woman because over the years we changed and are not the same people we were but she is the same wife.
