    Hi All,

I have another Rant about our Society. I took my dad to a ballgame last night in St. Louis. We arrived early and sat outside the stadium for about an hour. We saw the normal ticket scalpers and obnoxious people. However we saw these large bus-like vehicles rounding Busch Stadium that represented local strip clubs. These buses had girls on them and you can guess how they looked. There were pictures on the van of some fairly immoral behavoir to entice men to come there after the game. We saw several smaller buses and limos arrive with people toting drinks and several were already feeling no pain. When inside we saw a great game the Cards scored early and often but this IMO lead to many people starting to drink a lot. We saw two men thrown out for shoutng obscenities. The crowd immediatley around us had the most vile language and they wanted everyone to hear every detail of their conversation. No one cared that kids were around and could hear every word of their sexual exploits and drug usage.

I haven't been to a game in several years, but is this how we are now in public? I was embarassed for my 92 year old Father to have to hear and see it all. Does this bother anyone else or should I just stay home form now on and not worry about it?

    Lost ppl act, well, lost.

We live in a nearly completely post-Christian culture that is reaching near Roman heights of depravity. It is sad but it is what is to be expected.

I understand the frustration and have my own proclivities towards Neo-Amish living. We are seeing the implosion of values which always leads to either revival or destruction.

Yes it may be expected but it truly sadens me. Does anyone else on the BB see this or is it just that I'm a country boy and a trip to the city has showed it's evil side?

I think you are just a case of country-come-to-town. Sexual immorality, perversions, and destructive sexual practices are the norm in society.

I think I'll stay at home from now on. No wonder the Amsih and Quakers avoid society. Maybe I'll become a monk.

I grew up in the age when folks would wear dress up coat, tie, hat to gall games.

If crude, filthy language was used, the person was rebuked and if it continued then they were thrown out of the park.

No spitting, no cursing, no fighting.

There were those who would actually demand respect the innocence of children and virtue of women and they were honored as being manly.

It seems that in modern times that same person would be put in handcuffs and removed to be thrown to the lions.
