The gospel is "the power of God" as it is His Creative Command when He saves a person. When God saves a person, the gospel does not come in "word only" but "IN POWER and IN THE SPIRIT" (1 Thes. 1:4-5):

4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

Those chosen from the beginning by God TO salvation are chose THROUGH sanctification AND belief of the truth in the effectual call through the gospel by the Spirit of God:

2 Thes. 2:13 ¶ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The power of Satan over the elect is broken when this command by God through the gospel occurs:

2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.....6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The gospel is the "word of truth" by which we are Born again by the expressed will/command of God:

James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

James 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 ¶ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

When God saves a person, The gospel becomes His creative Word of command , thus the gospel becomes "the power of God to salvation" as that creative word of command gives GOSPEL seeing eyes and GOSPEL hearing ears or a NEW heart.

I would like to know how your false religion explains what it means that God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

The Gospel is the Power of God when it is Preached to those who are born again, or who are being saved, that is converted ! The Gospel does not regenerate anyone, so be careful in what you are saying, sounds close to Gospel Regeneration, and besides, I see no evidence in your teaching here on this forum that you even know what the Gospel of Christ is !

Genuine words of God are words that came, comes, and will come out from the mouth of the Lord and same are the pure gospel of the Lord, too.

Thus far no one has been able to provide any kind of exegetical response. No one has dealt with the scriptures I have given.

The only ones who have responded are those who pervert the gospel of Jesus Christ and preach "another gospel."

However, Ephesians 2:8-10 also proves that regeneration and faith are inseparable from each other and that faith is not "of works" but is contained in the new birth by God.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Paul uses a paraphrastic construction joining a perfect tense verb with a present tense to be or linking verb that translates "are ye saved." The implication is that this "saved" event took place in the past as a completed action at a past point in time and stands complete right up to the present. That is the implication of the perfect tense alone. The joining with it the to be verb emphaiszes the continuance of that perfect state.

Now, those who would debate the point of completed action, I simply reply that the contextual definition of "saved" is quickening (vv. 1, 5) as the term "saved" is first linked with "quickened" in verse 5 as explanatory of "saved." Hence, "saved" in verse 8 refers back to quickening in verse 5. Either a person is spiritual dead or alive. There is no progressive quickening! If you are dead, you are dead. If you are alive you are alive. Hence, quickening is a COMPLETED POINT OF ACTION where the dead become alive at a given point in time. This is the reason for the perfect tense.

However, this perfect state completed action in past time was an action that was completed "THROUGH FAITH" at the point of its completion. In other words "faith" is inseparable from the completed action of being "saved." No human being is "saved" as a COMPLETED ACTION apart from "faith" but this kind of "saved" (quickening/regeneation) is completed "THROUGH FAITH." It is not something that produces faith but something that is completed as an point of action "THROUGH" faith.

Hence, this is a grammatical demand that "saved" and "faith" are inseparable at the POINT OF COMPLETED ACTION.

Furthermore, "saved" in this context refers to being QUICKENED (vv. 1,5, 10).which by its very nature is not a progressive action as one is either alive or dead. Quickening is exclusively an act of God as no man can raise the dead to life.

Now, look at the logical flow of thought from verse 8 to verse 10.

    1. Here is what happened - "SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH"

    2. The Denial of what it is to be attributed to:

    a. Cannot be attributed to self - "and that not of yourself"
    b. Cannot be attributed to works - "not of works lest any man should boast"

    3. Assertion to whom it can be attributed to:

    a. "It is a gift of God"
    b. "For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus"

    4. Proof that "through faith" and "unto good works" are not synonomous

    a. The action of saved/quickened cannot occur except "through faith"
    b. Creation in Christ occurs prior to and thus without "good works"

Conclusion: There is no such thing as a unregenerated believer because faith cannot occur apart from and outside of regeneration. There is no such thing as a regenerated unbeliever because regeneration cannot occur apart from faith.
This is the same grammatical conclusion in 1 John 5:1 with the perfect tense verb "born" of God and the present tense participle "believeth."

It proves no such thing, New Birth is prior to Faith, it is prior to Hearing the Gospel. Cornelius was Regenerated many days before He heard the Gospel and was saved or converted to its Truth.

The scripture says that He feared God, Acts 10:2

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

Now, I do not care what you or anyone else says, the Natural Man cannot fear God, in fact there is no fear of God before his eyes, not ever Rom 3:18

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

And yet, Peter had not yet been sent by God to him, so that he can hear the Gospel and believe, Peter's Testimony right here Acts 15:7

7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Now, The Elect are regenerated, given New Birth BEFORE they Believe the Gospel !!

Now contradict the Truth if you like, you are held accountable for it before God !

Who cares about your personal opinion - deal with the grammatical facts of the text rather than giving us your personal opinions and then jumping to another text that you equally pervert. I am not playing no jumping joe game with you. Deal with facts or admit you can't.

I gave you contextual facts in Romans 4:1-6, 16 - NO RESPONSE

I gave you contextual facts in John 6:29,44-45,64-65 - NO RESPONSE

I gave you contextual and grammatical facts in Ephesians 2:5,8-10 - NO RESPONSE

That is all your beliefs are “personal opinion.” What makes you think that your beliefs are any truer than his are?

P.S. Why is 'pervert' your favorite word?

You are no different than he is! I provided a contextual based argument and both of you respond with NOTHING, no scripture, no exegetical response, no expository response, NOTHING but pure personal opinion!

Are you incapable of discerning between Biblical text and argument based upon the text and mere opinion without any Biblical references at all???????????

My comments are all expositionally based - just look at them and read them. Every statement I make is based upon a specific textual reading or upon the grammar. Look at your response and look at his - NOTHING but pure opinion in regard to the texts I presented and then he just jumps to another text - same method you follow.

You better read post 7, that is not my opinion, its the word of Truth.

Another scripture that proves you are in error, Scripture explicitly says that the Word of Salvation, The Gospel of Salvation is sent to THEM that Fear God Acts 13

Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

It is sent to them that Fears God because they are Born Again already, and have the Spiritual Capacity to HEAR IT !

That is why it was sent to Cornelius so He could HEAR IT and Believe ! Acts 15:7

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

You do not have a leg to stand on, It does not matter how many scriptures you quote, none of them contradict this Truth !

Readers look at this joke of a response in post 7!!!!!! In post 7 SBM ignores every single exegetical and expositorial based comment I provided. He ignores all the scriptures that those comments were based upon and all the evidences I presented but simply JUMPS and PITS other scriptures against the scriptures.

This is the best SBM can do! His false doctrine is based upon false principles of exegesis. He uses the CULTIC method of hermeneutics which is JUMP, RUN and PIT instead of responding directly to the text, expository comments and exegetical comments with textual based reasons why my comments are not true. The fact he does not proves he cannot and so he simply plays the CULTIC game of RUN from the text and JUMP to another text, and then PIT scripture against scripture. THIS IS THE METHOD OF ALL FALSE TEACHERS.

True teachers of God's Word do not RUN from any text, nor do they JUMP to another text and then PIT that text against any other text as a response. Anyone who characteristically uses the RUN, JUMP and PIT method is a false teacher as that is the MO of every false teacher in the world.

Too bad you don't believe what is in post 7, but in any case it refutes your foolishness. A Person can be regenerated and had not yet heard and believed the Gospel. I have told you that before !

the Lord died to purchase by his blodd those he died for, but he also in SO many verses states that we receive forgiveness and eternal life when we believe in him!

there Are NO verses in NT stating that we can be saved apart from placing faith in jesus!

Stop lying! I have placed the Biblical evidence before you that proves faith is not of works but of grace! What has been your response? You RUN as fast as your little legs can carry you! You ignore the Biblical based evidence, you jump to other scriptures in order to PIT them against scriptures! That is your cultic mentality and response.

Show that you are a man of God, a Bible believer and confront the evidences I have repeatedly placed in front of you and show us why my expository comments are not true to the text and grammar! You have done nothing but RUN and JUMP and PIT - stand up and confront my contextual based arguments if you dare!

Faith or Believing is a work, its a work done by Grace, but a work nevertheless. Acts 18:27

And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:

The word believed here is an action verb, a work done by Grace ! Its a verb, perfect participle active !

The subject is active. So if you teach that man is saved because he believed, then you are teaching man played an active role in getting saved by performing the act of believing, that is salvation by works. Even to preach salvation by a good work of righteousness which we have done, is contrary to Truth Titus 3:5

    Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Believing is a work of Righteousness done by the Regenerated !

So you have given no evidence that proves anything except that you are in darkness and preach a accursed salvation by works !
