Seems to be an attempt to get Republicans side-tracked on another social issue rather than talking about the deficit, unemployment, and national debt. Unfortunately, the Dems are good at this sort of strategy.

I disagree that the Democrats are all about homosexuality...

Then have abortion going for them too.

And let's not forget about their embrace of recreational promiscuous sex of any stripe.

I agree with everything you've said. And I have to confess that I voted for Obama in 2008. When he announced his wholehearted support for gay marriage, it was if someone drew a line in the sand for me. I will no longer support a candidate or party that supports same-sex marriage. God's Word could not be clearer; it forbids homosexual behavior (Romans 1: 26, 27; 1 Cor. 6:9; 1 Tim. 1:10).

I have never voted before with the idea that abortion and same-sex marriage are non-negotiable issues. This time I will vote with those issues at the forefront. While I don't agree with Romney on many issues, the reality is that either Obama or Romney will be our next president, and I do not want four more years of Obama. Our country is headed in a direction that frightens me.

Republicans have bought the post WW2 government police that Americans must always be afraid of some other nation. Their (your) fear has morphed into hate. The modern Republican party will always find a reason for hating people who disagree with them.

Of course it has to be hate against someone who disagrees with them. It can't be concern for the murdered unborn children, or the deprivation of society, or the corruption of the things this country was founded on. It has to be hatred of people.

    Emphasis mine

Well bless your heart PA!! Would that many of the self-righteous on this board could have a bit of your common sense, and not (in essence) demand that a secular position be filled by a Billy Graham type.
Now if one of those were actually a candidate, that's one thing. But when the choice is EITHER - OR, then foolish/impractical idealism is just giving the benefit to the bigger of two evils.:BangHead:

I think that if you look at the various positions on any subject, pick the one that is most injurious to the nation/free enterprise/Christianity/common sense, you'll see the majority (all?) of the Dem platforms.:tear:

Actually, I didn't know. I recall Obama saying at one time that he believed marriage is "one man and one woman". I don't have a source for that, so perhaps I am mistaken.

I still find myself hoping and praying for a third party candidate to come forward. The election is still six months away. Do you think a third party candidate might still be an option? I find it hard to believe that Obama and Romney are the best we can do.

I am surprised that the Democrats have not come out for marrying sheep. Then they could send their new spouse a card and sign it "I love ewe."

I fully understand your feelings, but feel down deep inside, and just very recently, that I made a mistake by trying to get involved at the grass roots level for the Constitution Party. Tomorrow, I am changing back to Republican, and holding my nose and voting for Romney. After much thought, prayer, and listening to my brothers and sisters on this board, I feel this is the better course, given the hand we have been dealt, by our own making. Obama is going to destroy this nation.

I agree. I'm probably going to "hold my nose and vote for Romney".

If we want to bring up hatred then just go turn on MSNBC for a few hours and listen to the progressives spew away.
