....they will one day be judged [IMHO].

Unless SFred and his supporters are willing to provide valid proof of their academic credentials in the areas they calim to be experts in, then I see their words as just that: WORDS [the kind that has no meaningful value, or substance to any of us who happen to listen and care about their opinions].

I doubt that God would be so harsh in regard to what the decaying process of sin has done to His creation. The evolution of sin, is bringing mankind more physical and mental disorders/diseases than the world knew when it began.

It is my opinion that just as sin corrupts and decays the soul, it is also guilty of corrupting the mortal composition of the body and mind, as the body continues to decay before our eyes.

It is my belief that we are witnessing a definite decaying or breakdown of the physical body from all the diseases and disorders that people are either born with, or diagnosed with later in their life. Even in Jesus's day, there were physical problems like blind people, deaf people, invalid people, lepers, etc. If I remember correctly, Jesus was compassionate towards those who were suffering.

This breakdown in the physical composition of the body is resulting in chronic physical disease, disabilities, and mental [yes, I said "mental"] disorders.

In Jesus day, He healed the sick, the blind and even raised the dead. However, not while He walked this earth not everyone had the benefit of His compassion and healing touch, so those afflicted with, and by the complications of sin, in this world were blessed that God provided doctors and medications to treat these afflictions; allowing more and more of His children to live out a meaningful life without a great deal of suffering and pain. And by living out a life under medical treatment, I mean living to lift Him up through their witness and work for the Kingdom.

While I clearly don't believe that "God made junk!" I believe that His creation had reaped the over all, longlasting effect of sin on and in it. Medicine is one way for God to interject His presence in blocking the natural progression of sin in creation. Sin is in fact, eating away at everything from the soul to the flesh. Just as we are a product of the sin of Adam, we are also experiencing the results that sin has had upon the flesh over time. Just as the flesh decays in death, there is a certain amount of decay goin on in the DNA passed down to those born, and the result is sickness. It can't be helped. However, through God's emissaries [doctors, pharmacists, psychiatrists] it can be slowed down, and HiIs people can enjoy life with His personal intervention.

The small mindedness of those who see it as their call in life to judge those who are less fortunate then them, are spiritually lacking in the vision that God has us assistance through medicine in order to put an end to persoanl suffering and affliction, as we wait for our time to rejoin Him in glory! :type:

AS I SAID IN ANOTHER POST....I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR GOD'S GIFT OF MEDICINE, AS IT HAS ALLOWED ME TO LIVE A PRODUCTIVE LIFE!!!

    Well, I Can Beat That....

.....I've been listed in the last four or five Marquis, Who's Who in Medicine & Healthcare, but that does not a "doctor" make [me]! Nor do I present myself in that way. My contribution to this career recognition publication came from my years as a vocational rehab counselor, social worker, and crisis counselor for Parents Anonymous.

Career expereience, education, and personal struggles with several chronic diseases [for which I take medicine] is what I base my opinions on regarding this subject.

BTW - When I said, in my initial post, that the human flesh is decaying [in front of our eyes] over each lifetime, I said DNA was decaying. I meant to say that it was our generational genetics, passed down to each new generation of family members that is at the center of our physical and mental decay. Since the beginning of time, we have seen a steady decline/decay in the body's composition, but in its molecular structure, cellular makeup, tissues, blood, muscles, organs, etc.

Secondly, I need to clarify that it is not our personal sin, per se, that brings us physical and mental disorders, but rahter the decline of the human body (physical and mental) in general, from generation to generation can be traced back to the garden where sin was introduced.

However, there are times where present day, sinful living habits (alcoholism, drugs/HIV, obesity, smoking, and plain old stupidity) will result in physical and mental disorders that impair the body we've been given.

However, at the time God made man and woman; it was his desire that we live long, and probably never die. Adam's sin ushered in spiritual sin that has had an ongoing effect on everything, including making our perfect bodies subject to the elements around us, which guarantees our shorter life spans.

Humans are not only seeing their offspring born into sin (thank you Adam), but sin has wrecked havoc on mankind over the generations, and many of us reap diseases that have been in our family tree for thousands of years. Each new-generation of course inherits some of these family tree frailties, and with time, the diseases we inherit are much more complicated and worse than what they were when our great, great, great, great, great, great grandparents first discovered this physical disorder being passed down.

There is no doubt in my mind that the human species is reaping the results of century's old health problems, that have mutated and become more difficult to medicate and treat.

Sin not only doomed mankind, sending it to hell and ushering in the need for each individual to personally seek God's foregiveness through His Son and receive His Grace in order to complete the act of atonement, returning us to fellowship with God; recipients of His forgiving grace.

Sin truly has its evil tentacles in the spiritual, physical and mental aspects of mankind, and the result is eventual [physical, and without Jesus, spiritual] death.

Drugs mask the sin while confession and forsaking heals.

And harsh words hide the sin of pride, while confession and forsaking that sin lead to reconciliation and restoration--not just of the prideful sinner, but of the additional sinner the prideful one should have been working to restore. (Gal 6:1)

    I Think You have ....

....sunk to an all time low. Keep this in mind, my brother, what goes around [the words and judgment coming from your mouth] will one day, like chickens, come back to roost on your henhouse.

If you escape this life with out a serious, or chronic disease, and the need for medication, the truth of the matter is, you are still going to die, physically.

So, as you lay there dying, don't forget to confess your sins, in order to avoid having the sin behind the cause of your death be "masked!"

One quick question. Have you ever needed a doctor to write an Rx for an atnibiotic? Did that antibiotic mask the sin behind the reason of your being sick?

You and SF have all the underpinnings of stealth WoFer's. I know your type, as I spent a few years under their guilt trips. I was truly set free the day I left their lies and cult-like doctrines.

I am surprised that no one on this board have not seen through your agenda? I say, "Ichabod!" to you and your wasteful words of guilt. In your name [not the Lords] you are preaching and spewing doctrine that is doing more harm to others then the devil could hope to do himself. The kind of teaching I see coming from your camp, is harmful. I only hope you get a grip on Bible reality and stop spewing such deceit. :tear:

May the reality and purpose of the meaning of Ichabod fall upon you and your misguided theology.

Using drugs to control behavior only masks the problem. Confession and forsaking is the only way God gives to deal with sin.
