Prilosec for GERD. (No matter what I eat, I still have to take these)

    Zyrtec and Flonase for allergies.

I took a cholesterol med but more exercise cancels that out.

    I use Advil for pain.

I take CGT-10 by Optimum Nutrition, a Creatine and glutamine supplement for strength and recovery.

I use NOX 3 by Universal Nutrition.

I take Animal Pak (lol!) vitamin packs.

I have a cycle of Animal M-Stak to use at some point when I want to use it.

I use varying* protein powders for shakes for protein supplementation and as a mix for meal replacements. (*depending upon price.)

I've used other supplements along the way, DHEA, creatines, energy drinks (especially if I am working outside in the heat, I will not eat anything, but will instead do an energy supplement) &c.

BTW, I weight train for the purpose of defeating diabetes onset which is a family trait, and for other benefits.

Are all or any of these supplements, drugs masking sin, sinful?

While I think the whole presentation from the 3 folks (I think it's only 3) who say that taking meds is a sin issue - I would point out that they're focusing on drugs like Zoloft and other anti-depressants, as well as Thorazine and Haldol for things like schizophrenia, and not the physical medications. (If they are, well, then, I'm even more befuddled about their way of thinking)

Personally, I believe that God created us intelligent. We figured out that adding salt to food makes it taste better. Maybe mom was quite the sinner, and took recreational drugs while pregnant, thus causing a physiological change in our brain structure that results in behavior. God made someone smart enough to figure out that if we mix such-and-such ingredients, we can modify the physiological structure and thus modify the thinking/behavior.

I have a nephew on my wife's side that was born mildly retarded; he has absolutely no clue that his behavior is unacceptable. He used to hit his grandmother while she was baby-sitting him; and since he weighed close to 200 pounds at age 12, and she weighed about 120 at age 87; and since we could talk to him until we were all blue in the face about sinning and doing wrong; it was the medication that resulted in him no longer abusing the grandmother, because there was no way his limited mental capacity was going to allow him to fully understand what we were telling him, much less be able to control his behavior on his own.

Not sure why people want to say that placing faith in God isn't placing faith that God made someone able to be the "angel" in our lives and help us out, whether it be by going through the same trials and tribulations and therefore being able to offer advice and comfort (2 Cor 1:4); or creating penicillin or Prilosec; or creating Zoloft or Thorazine.

Any drug that is used to control behavior masks the sin. Confession and forsaking is the only biblical prescription for sin.

If God is so against doctors, why did He have one of them write the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts?

God is not against Doctors, per se.

What He is against is doctors and pharmaceutical companies who fabricate illnesses so they can line their pockets and drive fancy cars.
