Can anyone guess what it will be on? Dr. Jeremiah has a very winsome writing style that can hold my attention. When he writes I listen and get interested.

Dr. Jeremiah should stick to preaching and pastoring his church.

His prophecy books are excellent. You need to read them.

I own 6 of his prophecy books and they are top notch. No they are not academic books (except maybe The writing on the Wall which I would use as a book assignment in a undergraduate class on the book of Daniel, and Escape the Coming night a book on Revelation).

He is one in a long line of pastors who get distracted from their most important task by the allure of trying to be the one who figures out prophecy. And before long his prophecy books will join the others in the 99 cent bargain bin at your local christian book store. I like David Jeremiah and I enjoy listening to some of his sermons. He should stick to preaching the Word.

The quality of his commentaries on Revelation & Daniel is much higher as there he is explaining the books, and not talking about the coming economic Armageddon. Also those books were printed in the 1990's, and yet are still valuable today. But I see what you are saying about his last 4 books. Reading some of Walvoord's or Feinberg's earlier books I can see exactly what you are saying as their prophecies were way off. I do also notice the quality of his writing, and exegesis is not as high as it was in the books I mentioned earlier. If you want to sell lots of books, dont be as academic, and sadly I think he may be doing what he wants to do to SELL books.

I've read one or two books by Dr Jeremiah. I generally disagree with his particular eschatological stance but do appreciate his vigor in discussing the issue. The last thing we really need is another prophecy book that sounds more like Hal Lindsay's foolish ramblings. Too often Dr Jeremiah has wander down this path.

Jesus is coming! And in this truth the Church can rejoice, we just don't need to get bogged down in the rampant speculation.

Dr. Jeremiah and Hal Lindsey are coming out with a coauthored book called "Searching for Heaven on the Late Great Planet Earth."

Now that I have seen him supporting paul crouch and him raising money the same way that paul crouch does he is discredited in my opinion and no book or teaching he does from this point on is of any interest to me.

David Jeremiah starts with an unbiblical premise when it comes to prophecy, dispensationalism!:tear::type:

Read Escape the Coming Night & The writing on the Wall. These are top notch books where he does not sensationalize everything.

Hogwash! Dispensationalism is the most biblical.

Wow- that is the first I heard of this- sad :tear:. I won't throw out the baby with the bath water, but I certainly will read anything from him in the future more carefully.

I disagree with dispensationalists on eschatology but their doctrine of the "parenthesis church" is unbiblical hogwash.

I look forward to it. And people who are not pastors need to refrain from deciding for pastors what is or is not a distraction just because they do not agree with them.

I agree. I do enjoy his books and preaching. While I will admit that his last 4 books are not written to the same quality as his commentaries on Daniel & Revelation, I still will read almost anything that he writes.
