It is very graphic, minor nudity and rough language. But if one is into slash then this is most likely not a problem.

I watched it - it does have rough language (and of course violence - which is a given). I don't recall nudity. It was worth the 6 hours of my time.

I was able to watch only about half of the three episodes; it was true to form in that the feud had it's roots in the Civil War, as was the case with most of the mountain feuds, and the whiskey stills and logging were indeed an integral part of that society and economy. Also, their willingness to fight for their honor (as they percieved it) was rightly depicted. Josephus's depiction of the Galileans of Christ's day very much reminds me of the mountain people of Appalacia, they were ready to fight 'at the drop of a dime'.

[edit] ...and I just want to add that 'fighting for their honor' does not mean that the violence transpired in an honorable fashion. My father's immediate family picked up and left E KY on account of a bona fide feud over 'bootlegging rights'; his father's constable brother was ambushed and murdered at midnight on main street of their hometown in the early 40s. (and there's a lot more to that story)

Thanks for that; I won't waste my time on it. The rough language would ruin it for me. I often start a movie or one-hour show and then turn to something else when someone uses God's name in vain in the first 5 minutes. There are shows I won't watch for that same reason, because they're advertised as having "strong language".

I watched some of it because I was interested in the story and I like Kevin Costner as an actor. But after watching that stuff for very long I start feeling bad so I stopped. There is a warning at the beginning of the movie.

Foul language and a whole lot of violence. Some sexual situations. Not sure how true to history the story line runs.

I watched it along with my teenage son

"Depressing!!!" is the one word description he gave me of the series

Hatred fueled by alcohol is the culprit!!!

But the Hatfield/McCoy fued lives on still to this day in other families lives----you don't have to be a Hatfield to be a Hatfield---and you don't have to be a McCoy to be a McCoy---just get yourself some envy, bitterness and hatred and fuel it with alcohol and you will forget how to forgive!!!

    See what I mean??
