Over the next several days, more than a hundred of the most powerful people on the planet will attend a secret conference at a hotel in Chantilly, Virgina. Some of the biggest names in politics and business will be there. The hotel is going to be completely locked down and will be swarmed by hordes of security guards carrying machine guns. This conference is so important that even the U.S. Secret Service is rumored to be involved in providing security. These meetings have been held yearly since 1954, but no record of what goes on at them has ever been officially released to the public and all the attendees are sworn to secrecy. Decisions made at this conference will affect the lives of every man, woman and child on the planet. But the vast majority of Americans will have no idea that the Bilderberg Group is meeting about 20 miles from Washington D.C. this year because the mainstream media in the United States ignores the Bilderberg Group almost entirely year after year. Based on the coverage it gets from the U.S. media, you would think that the Bilderberg Group was a non-event. But if some of the most powerful people on the planet are getting together to discuss our future, don't you think the mainstream media should be covering it?

The Bilderberg Group is much more than just a social club. It has played a major role in shaping the direction of the world since it was created in 1954. The Bilderberg Group helped create the European Union and it helped create the euro. This year efforts to save the euro are rumored to be high on the agenda.

And considering the big names that show up at this conference on a yearly basis you would think that the U.S. media would be extremely interested in it. The following is just a sampling of the big names that have attended Bilderberg in recent years....

Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Prince Charles, David Cameron, Tony Blair, Henry Kissinger, Bill Gates, Angela Merkel, Ben Bernanke, Timothy Geithner, Rick Perry, David Rockefeller, Herman van Rompuy, Jean-Claude Trichet, Jeff Bezos, Chris R. Hughes, Eric Schmidt, Craig J. Mundie, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Richard Perle, Paul Volcker, Lawrence Summers, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden

Isn't that enough star power to get the attention of the mainstream media?

    CONTINUE . . .

The most powerful people on the planet meeting under one roof for three days isn't news worthy? Why is that?

Some of those attending this years meeting will be committing a felony.

Here's the official attendee list . . . CLICK HERE.

Take a look at it and see if you can spot the felons.

    MORE . . .

If it is such a big secret and no one knows what goes on, how is it that you know all about it and all about what they do?

Another conspiracy theory tactic of asking a question numerous times so as to make it seem suspicious.

You want that answer. Here it is:

    http://www.bilderbergmeetings.org/participants2012.html

Go take a look at that list and please tell me which ones are "the most powerful people on the planet"? Is it:

Huang, Yiping Professor of Economics, China Center for Economic Research, Peking University

Goolsbee, Austan D. Professor of Economics, University of Chicago Booth School of Business

Carlsson, Gunilla Minister for International Development Cooperation (Sweden)

    Ivanov, Igor S. Associate member, Russian Academy of Science;

Lipsky, John Distinguished Visiting Scholar, Johns Hopkins University

Papalexopoulos, Dimitri Managing Director, Titan Cement Co (Greece)

And I see the press is covering it, after all:

Rose, Charlie Executive Editor and Anchor, Charlie Rose
    Micklethwait, John Editor-in-Chief, The Economist
Gruber, Lilli Journalist - Anchorwoman, La 7 TV (Italy)
Supino, Pietro Chairman and Publisher, Tamedia AG (Chile)
Wolf, Martin H. Chief Economics Commentator, The Financial Times
Rachman, Gideon Chief Foreign Affairs Commentator, The Financial Times

This year the "press" is covering it some. But only because a small minority of people have been working for years to bring attention to it.

The "press" is there. Inside. (look at the participant list) Where it has been for decades. Where's the reports from those "insider" media folks? No need to look there is none. And if there is it's only to play down the importance of the meeting and/or to smear those asking questions.

The most powerful people on the planet? C'mon, you see their names on that list and so does everyone else.

This annual meeting is basically a confab for policy wonks to get together and <edited to shoot the breeze - LE>

Yes, I urge everyone to go and look at this list of "powerful" people. Most are not in policy-making roles.

Okay then how do these "government elected officials" formulate policy?

With feedback and influence from constituents and supporters with the overriding goal of being re-elected.

Are you sure about that? Seems to me the "government's elected officials" not only paid no mind at all to what their constituents were saying about the banker bailouts. "NO BANKER BAILOUTS" is what 80 -90% of their constituents were saying. They went ahead and did it anyways.

What did their constituents get in return for supporting their "government elected officials" and supplying "feedback"? A sharp stick in the eye.

The "government elected officials" didn't seem all that worried about "feedback" or re-election. They seemed more interested in rewarding those who had a hand in ruining our economy with taxpayer funded bailouts. 30% of which (that we know of) went to foreign banks. They seemed more interested in keeping the campaign money from the bankers and corporitos flowing into their pockets than what their constituents wanted.

You think maybe that might have a little something to do with why the congress has such a pitifully low approval rating?

Maybe I worded the question wrong. Maybe I should have asked "how do these government elected officials really formulate policy"?

Here's what Hillary Clinton had to say about it.

Hillary Clinton, at the CFR on July 15, 2009.

"We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won't have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future."

You DO know that almost all that bank bailout money has been repaid and that the U.S. has turned a profit?

In total, Treasury delivered $245 billion to banks in 2008 and through February had only $17.24 billion remaining outstanding. The Treasury last year said it was time to wrap up the program for banks, where it has already made a profit on its investments.

Because the people who own these members also own the press. This is second string at best.

Only problem is, that profit comes from taxpayer money -- money that was meant to spur banks to develop communities and help small businesses. Instead they've used it to develop and help themselves.

All told, including dividend, interest and other payments, U.S. banks have repaid the government $211.5 billion under the Capital Purchase Program (CPP), the first phase of the government's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), according to a report Thursday by the Government Accountability Office, a congressional watchdog. That's more than the $204.9 billion the banks initially got under TARP.

$211.5 billion minus $204.9 billion equals profit, right?

But 48 percent of the banks that have repaid the CPP used money they'd gotten from other federal programs, according to the GAO report.

    CONTINUE . . .

Imagine if you and I could borrow money from the government and repay the loan with government money . . . that'd be a great policy!

    I'd be looking at THIS!

    Instead of this.

    No problem.

    Did you know?

The first top-to-bottom audit of the Federal Reserve uncovered eye-popping new details about how the U.S. provided a whopping $16 trillion in secret loans to bail out American and foreign banks and businesses during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

    CONTINUE . . .

You see what's going on in Greece?

The bank runs that we are watching right now in Greece are shocking, but they are only just the beginning. Since May 6th, nearly one billion dollars has been withdrawn from Greek banks. For a small nation like Greece, that is an absolutely catastrophic number. At this point, the entire Greek banking system is in danger of collapsing. If you had money in a Greek bank, why wouldn't you pull it out?

    CONTINUE . . .

Kit Juckes, global head of foreign exchange at Societe Generale, told CNBC’s “Worldwide Exchange” that the best outcome was “the status quo.” “A Greek economy in depression, austerity that guarantees they’ll stay in depression and living on life support from the rest of Europe is the best,”

    CONTINUE . . .

That's the best outcome? For who, the Greeks or the banksters?

Meanwhile back at the Bilderberg Ranch.

According to veteran Bilderberg sleuth Jim Tucker’s source, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels’ presence at the 2012 Bilderberg Group meeting indicates that he is the elite’s choice pick to become Mitt Romney’s running mate.

According to the source, Bilderberg members are eager to dissuade the Romney camp from choosing Kentucky Senator Rand Paul as VP, fearing that Paul’s constitutionalist stance will act to derail the agenda for increased centralization of power into a system of global governance.

Daniels on the other hand is seen as a safe pair of hands, having been elected to his second term of Governor by a record margin of 18 points. Former Senior Vice President of Eli Lilly and Company, Daniels worked on a public relations campaign to downplay the side-effects of Prozac, helping the company’s profits soar during the mid to late 90′s.

    < snip >

The race to become Romney’s running mate now appears to be a straight shoot out between Daniels and Marco Rubio, who has also impressed elitists with recent appearances at influential internationalist confabs.

Rubio recently addressed the Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderberg’s sister organization, with a foreign policy speech in New York.

Rubio has repeatedly given speeches advocating military assaults on both Syria and Iran. Given the fact that Syrian National Transitional Council head Bassma Kodmani was present at this weekend’s Bilderberg meeting in Chantilly, Rubio’s views on foreign policy are directly in vogue with Bilderberg power brokers.

    CONTINUE . . .

"Mitt and Mitch" or "Mitt and Marco"?

At least we know who's interests Romney's VP choice will be serving whomever it might turn out to be.

Is Bilderberg The Real Power Masters?

Ok what does the "B" stand for and what does the "S" stand for? Does it actually mean "breeze the shoot"? Just working this through chronologically since the "B" comes before the "S".

Bull shooting- Haven't you heard the old joke about the Indian who walks into a coffee shop with a shotgun in one hand and pulling a bull with a rope with the other hand?

He sits down at the counter, orders a cup of coffee, drinks it, shoots the bull with the shotgun, and leaves.

The next day, same Indian walks into the same coffee shop with the shotgun in one hand pulling another bull with the other hand. He sits down at the counter, but before he can say anything, the coffee shop manager intervenes. The manager says, "Hey what's the deal here? Yesterday you came in here and shot the bull and left a heckuva mess. We spent most of the day cleaning it up. I hope you're not planning on doing the same thing today."

The Indian says, "Me training for upper management position: Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of day."
