Dr. Land has apologized for his words, and the ERLC has taken action. Time to move on.

Land isn't my favorite person, but what did he say about the Travon Martin shooting as it applied to Jackson, Sharpton, and Obama that was incorrect or racially inciting?

Not that comparing sin allows for excuse, but were not the words of those three actually far more racially motivated?

What I have read on line assumes that Land was inaccurate in his statements. When I have attempted to find exactly what he said; considered the statements in the light of black "leadership" folks actual actions and calls for civil unrest before the facts are all known, the statements do not seem out of line.

Perhaps someone will post exactly what he said that was so "offensive."

The plagiarism issue may have some grounds, but nearly every preacher I have ever heard for an extended time has plagiarized. Radio and TV commentators and talk show folks are about a guilty.

Perhaps the board has another agenda and Land is merely a inconvenient thorn of the flesh that some were looking for an excuse to remove from the public access.

Can anyone give more insight into the matter, something other than the baptist press reports as the truth?

All of this is way overreaction.

Land has landed in a cage of his own making. I suspect he will resign in the very near future.

Can anyone point out the exact remarks he made? Based on the remarks I've found, he did nothing but speak the truth.

I am no fan of Richard Land, but I disagree that his statements were improper about the Trayvon Martin case. If he did not give credit due when quoting another that is a different story, but I feel his statements hit the nail on the head in what is going on about that case. If anything he did not tell it all. He spoke the truth and that is what matters in regards to that case.
