On May 31 the Democratic majority in the House voted against a ban on gender based abortions. In the United States it is now legal to abort an infant at five months ( when it is possible to use ultra sound to determine gender) simply because the mother wants a boy instead of a girl. Shocking.

Because we all know that wanting a boy or girl and killing the unwanted gender is a woman's right.

I Can See this In China or Islamist Nations, but...

...here in America? It doesn't surprise me, not one bit. Our society is growing more tolerant to taking the life of another for whatever the reasons. Once this is not so shocking to society as a hole, the foot in the door to mercy-killings will make its next stop at the corner of Euthansia and Elderly Place. From there it's my guess that society will approve of people being euthanized, at any age, for any reason, without as much as a care. :tear:

It may be seen as necessary in order to "thin the herd!" :tear:

This is where its starts, and where it ends is anyone's guess, but my guess is it will be an acceptable form of medicine, in another 50 years. :tear:

Nothing that happens in the US surprises me any more--disgusts me, yes, but it doesn't surprise me.

Someone might say that if this kind of thing continues, God's judgment will fall on us.

    No.

This, in my opinion, is God's judgment on us. I fear he has withdrawn his restraining hand. I pray to God, please don't leave us alone.

I can't help but think that in the not-too-distant future, the generation that fought so hard for legalised abortion will find itself subject to widespread and accepted euthanasia as it grows older, because there aren't enough of the younger generations to support it.
