"Why the U.S. Media Barely Covered Brutal Right-Wing Race Riots in Tel Aviv
Middle East analyst MJ Rosenberg discusses the Israel lobby, Iran and the xenophobic riots that shook Israeli society.
    June 13, 2012 |

"Several weeks back, Israel was rocked by a night of right-wing race-riots targeting African refugees in Tel Aviv. The thuggery was frightening – refugees were attacked, African-owned businesses and stores were vandalized and a community was forced to hunker down behind closed doors in fear for their lives. . . ."

Easy, easy; this board is filled with 'Israel-firsters' that have zero tolerance of any criticism or negative light shed upon 'The Chosen'. You WILL get pegged with that 'awful name'. I posted about this incident here:

    http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?p=1852961&highlight=Israelis#post1852961

(read the name calling next post)

    [edit to add]

The OP discussion with MJ Rosenberg is right on; MJ KNOWS the Israel Lobby, he once was part of it.

'Israel-firsters' (coined within the OP piece; did you not read it before making comment?) is actually a very apt description of what has resulted from a very bad theology within mainstream Christianity today. The error began with the Church. Period.

Totally apart from any theological implication, Israel is our very close ally, we helped birth modern day Israel in 1947 in the place modernly called Palestine as a place of refuge for the European Jews.

The Arab-Bedouin peoples have never forgiven us (USA, The Great Satan, the infidels) or them (Israel) for this.

So, like it or not Israel-USA will be the focal piece of WWIII (IMO).

Possible scenario: Iran launches nuclear warhead at Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, Israel retaliates, Russia defends Iran against Israeli retaliation, America defends Israel against Russian retaliation - WWIII launched.

NOTICE:, This is not a WH leak!

Well said. So often we forget history. What you have said could happen, now write 200 more pages and I think you will have a best seller.

Dispensational Christianity created Israel so that the Jews would rebuild the Temple and provide the place Jesus needed so he could return and send non-believers ( including Jews) to Hell.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy, another sensationalist doomsday endtimes fiction novel, JUST what we need; as many others he could probably become a millionaire BEFORE the second coming happens.

Yes, and to start slicing animals' throats again in a new temple. And to hasten that, the Dome of the Rock must be blown up.

If anything highlights the lie and mockery of the Gospel that is fundamentalist dispensationalism, this is it.

Uh, actually it was the Baron Edmond James de Rothschild that created the early settlements. Then his son James showed up a bit later with the British army and "took the helm of the newly-organized Palestine Jewish Colonization Association".

The house of Rothschild invested millions of dollars in the state of Israel to protect their control of the Suez canal.

The Rothschilds had plans to build a canal in Palestine from Ashkelon to Aqaba. It was the house of Rothschild that created Israel. Not so much "as a place of refuge for the European Jews" but rather to protect the investments of a European banking dynasty.

If I remember my history correctly.

It would be cheaper than WW3 to move a cubic mile of Holy Dirt.

The Oil Arabs buy Baja from Mexico and trade it to the Jews for Israel. A cubic mile of Holy Land is moved to Mexico and the Jews build their Temple. American Jews take their vacations in New Jerusalem. Their money stays in North America. Baja becomes boating/fishing paradise. Land prices explode. The World becomes "greener." Everyone wins.

No Brother Bob, I'd be much more likely to support our local farmers by buying some fresh corn, green beans & new potatoes. :)

Yes the Rothschilds were of great help but Israel still ended up with about 25% of what the Balfour Declaration called for. Rothschild's Jewish Colonization Association started about 12 camps to start.

The British were for the creation of a Jewish National Homeland throughout Palestine. The Jews had started mass immigration into Palestine in the 1880's in an effort to rid the land of swamps and malaria and prepare for the rebirth of Israel. This Jewish effort attracted as many Arabs as Jews from neighboring areas who came for employment opportunities and better living conditions.

But after WWII the Europeans as well as the good old USA was trying to find a place to get rid of these Jews, that speeded up everything. Most countries wanted their top brains but not the rest.

Come on my friend, I married a girl from Ky. You don't buy corn, beans, potatoes and such, you grow your own. I enjoy the eating but not the work to grow them, but year after year, it is the same thing.

Great help? Without the Rothschild's investments the early settlements would have failed. The mass immigration would have stopped. That wouldn't be good for business.
