In Praise of the KJV

    I saw this on a website somewhere a long time ago by someone (Wounded Ego)regarding the KJV.

    "I still love the old girl though,just as much as when her lips were pink,her skin smooth and she didn't drool!"

    The KJV is an excellent English translation, is the MOST-PRINTED book in history in any language, and is still used extensively. I'm not at all in favor of discarding it. But we must remember that it's NOT the ONLY valid English Bible translation out there, and it DOES have a few goofs. And it's NOT responsible for the false KJVO doctrine, something which its makers never intended to exist.

    Saturneptune, I hope you're happy - I now have to clean the spit and the cough drop off my monitor because of your comment! :laugh:

    I also must say that I have never heard that saying referring to the Bible (ANY version / revision / interpretation / transliteration) before.
