    Heb 10:9

    Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

    Many today are deluded into believing that there is a future time coming, the millennium they call it, when God restores and earthly jewish nation that brings back the OC system of worship, all this because they canalize OT Prophecies, especially in Ezk, but this is a most grave error, and only those whom Christ died for shall escape this deadly deception. The Truth of the matter is, since the oblation of Christ, there is no more need for such sacrifices and offerings, and His Offering has once and for all has done away with them, for God has now no pleasure in them, except for that temporal purpose that led up to Christ. In this regards look at Heb 7:18-19

    18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

    19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

    Heb 9:6-10

    6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

    7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

    8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

    9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

    10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

    For the sake of space please read Heb 10:1-9 to clarify this point !

    Now that Christ has come and offered up Himself under the New Covenant Matt 26:28

    28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

    Its no more time to revert back to that which God has taken away, but now and ever since, God has been about establishing the Second, that is the New Covenant and its attending blessings to a specific People Jer 31:31-34; Heb 8:6-12.

    The word establish Heb 10:9 is the greek word histēmi and means:

    to cause or make to stand, to place, put, set

    to make firm, fix establish

    Now for men to teach a reverting back, is very dishonoring to God and to Christ, the Mediator of the New Covenant. It would be insane for God to go back to a system that made nothing perfect. Also it would make no sense at all that such reverting would be commemorating of the Lord Jesus Christ and His offering, for he gave instruction for that here 1 Cor 11:23-26

    23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

    24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

    25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

    26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

    After the Temple was destroyed, the rabbis had the same theological problem as the Christians. The rabbis concluded that the sacrifices were (only) an outward representation of an inward repentance, same as Baptists interpret baptism.

    Too bad for you that prophet Ezeckiel did foresee such a time to come though!

    What the Prophets like Ezekiel foresaw was Grace to the Church, the Believers under the New Covenant, that is made clear here 1 Pet 1:10

    Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

    Would that be a "spiritualized" reading of Ezeckiel?

    hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness

    2 Pet 1:3

    According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

    The Blessings of the Covenant unto all for whom Christ died, He secured for them and gives them every Spiritual Blessing that pertains to Life and Godliness ! This comes for the New Birth 1 Pet 1:3

    3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

    Thats why Paul says that we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings, according to having been chosen in Him [The Covenant Surety] before the foundation Eph 1:3-4

    3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

    4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

    The all spiritual blessings here equals the hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness in 2 Pet 1:3

    And it coincides with what Paul says in Rom 8:32

    32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?[That pertain to life and Godliness]

    This is the Covenant Work of Christ in Saving sinners, for He was given as a Covenant for the People Isa 42:6

    6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

    Isa 49:8

    8 Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

    And because He alone met all the conditions of the Covenant, He through His Spirit bequeaths upon all who had a Interest in the Covenant [Gods Elect] or those Chosen in Him before the foundation Eph 1:4 all things that pertain to life and Godliness. Faith and Repentance God's way are acts of Godliness. This is why Peter said earlier in vs 1 of 2 Pet 1:1

    Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

    Faith is given as by Lot, inheritance, and its part of that inheritance that each one for whom Christ died and rose is begotten unto by His Resurrection from the dead unto a Lively Hope and Inheritance 1 Pet 1:3-5

    Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

    4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

    5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

    Repentance unto salvation is godly sorrow 2 Cor 7:10

    For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

    So He gives us through Christ Repentance unto Life Acts 11:18

    18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

    1 Cor 1:30

    30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

    The OC Saints had Faith in Christ for their Righteousness as does the NT Saints.

    Notice Isa 45:23-25

    23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

    24 Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

    25 In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

    Rom 3:21-25

    21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Like Isa 45

    22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

    23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

    24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

    25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

    That forgiveness of sins was through Christ the coming seed of the woman, the Shiloh Gen 49:10; all the OT prophets since the beginning did bear witness to Lk 1:70 and Faith to Salvation was in His Blood Rom 3:24-25, and so in order to that, they must also have heard the Word of God, for Faith cometh by hearing Rom 10:17, also OT Saints understood that this mercy of forgiveness of sins, God had reserved only for a Remnant Micah 7:18

    18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth[Taketh away] iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

    But this Mercy that God delighteth in for the taking away of iniquity, was not for all mankind, but a Remnant, not even all ethnic jews either, for in them was a remnant Isa 1:9

    And this Remnant of Hope was always given the Faith of God's Elect to Trust in Christ's Blood for their Mercy of forgiveness Rom 3:24-25

    24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

    25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
