Rather than all the misinformation going around, here is a good summary that has been refined since it was first begun. It also links to the appropriate sections of the legislation. Looks like pretty good stuff to me.

It forces people people to purchase something against their will just because they are live.

It runs medical costs up beyond where they should be.

It will make a mess of the entire medical system as many states are not going to expand medicare because the states cannot afford it.

It creates the largest tax increase on the middle class in the history of the United States.

Point 1 - Incorrect. You can opt out and pay a penalty. If you have insurance, like most today do, no penalty, no additional purchase.

Point 2 - No evidence of this. Care to provide?

    Point 3 - Speculation

Point 4 - How so? 0.9% if you make over $200k. Reagan imposed bigger tax hikes.

Did you actually read the linked article?

Thankful the bill was upheld and that it was called what it is, a tax.

It could be a disaster if Congress can pass laws forcing us to do anything unwillfully as long the penalty for not doing so is called a "tax." It could outlaw bumper stickers or yard signs, for instance, and free speech would be no issue if the penalty is denoted as a "tax," not a fine. Right now, that's the reason few people own machne guns-- because of the high federal tax for owning one; the Second Amendment notwithstanding. But Obamacare opens doors for many that machine guns have not blown holes in. This new trap door through the capitol floor must be curtailed.

Yes and what a waste of my time. Surely you find websites that are more credible and not so cheesy.

One statement in the article is hilarious: "Obama may be pro-choice, but that is not reflected in the PPACA." Pay premiums or else pay a penalty the SC calls a tax-- that's "pro-choice?"

And for the record, one example cited a fan of the Cleveland Browns consuming high-fat, high-salt (not to mention ridiculously-priced) stadium foods, hoping the Browns make to the Super Bowl for the first time in "who knows how long?" Well, it's never. Neither the old Browns (now the Baltimore Ravens) or the current Browns have ever made the Super Bowl. That places some credibility questions on that site.

The article has appropriate links to the actual bill. What is more credible than the source document?

Of course, facts matter not to some.

And the left needs to quit pointing to Reagan. You hated him when he was in office for a reason. Drop the farce.

The issue is that the political spectrum has shifted so far to the extreme Right that today, Ronald Reagan would be totally unelectable as a Democrat. Also, Ronald Reagan was an decent gentleman who served his country with honor, like John McCain.

Which is a left wing lie to cover up and distract from the fact that the left has taken over the Democrat party and is so extreme that they may start a revolution of some kind.

Reagan was against any form of government run healthcare.

He was against redistribution of wealth.

He would have made short work of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi.

 You just keep thinking that. Maybe you'll get Mitt Romney and his magic Mormon underwear in the White House.

Obamacare is a piece of trash legislation passed by 1 partisan vote based on a plethora of lies and deceit using a corrupted process, and over the objections of the American people.

What else do we really need to know? That it had to be passed to find out what was in it?

    Please.

Ronald Reagan would probably have been refused, due to his eyesight. His was a celebrety service, kinda like Elvis'.

    That being said......

Obama care is going to make it impossible for us to stay in business, without layoffs, and an absolute freeze on new hires.

It's a huge job killer in the bisiness community, but creates government jobs aplenty.

How will they be paid? Taxes. What do they produce? Nothing.

It is a done deal and will be used to eliminate pensions and social security.

Truth is, no one really knows what's going to happen. Estimates are just that estimates. The hysteria is somewhat amusing if not wholly uninformed.

Those in love with this legislation need to admit the possibility that maybe just maybe when the government runs something it costs more and is prone to inefficiencies, maybe!

There are few good things - coverage for preexisting conditions as an example.
