Do we have it? Do the angels have it?

If we have it, do we ever lose it?

Man or any other being is never free from God's decree of purpose, that is man will aways choose to do what God has purposed he should do, nevertheless, man is a free moral agent and is accountable for his choices, be they sinful. That is man is held accountable for the sinful choices he freely makes according to God's Sovereign determination that he makes them !

ONLY God has really full and libertine free will right now!

adam did have it, as did satan when both were originally craeted, but both chose to become enslaved by their own sinful desires!

All of us now are under the fallen sin natures, so can become 'free again", only by jesus saving us and granting us new nature and His Holy Spirit!

Yes it is--and SMB's statement is also contradictory (and sounds Orwellian to say the least).

Scriptures that contradict man's idle freewill, that man acts independent of of God's Sovereignty !

The words of Jeremiah the Prophet Jer 10:23

23 O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

This scripture is against freewill of man most definitely !

The GWT O LORD, I know that the way humans act is not under their control. Humans do not direct their steps as they walk.

The DBT I know, Jehovah, that the way of man is not his own; it is not in a man that walketh to direct his steps.

The wise man Solomon says Prov 16:9

9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

In case you did not know, the word steps is another word for a man's will !

The word means course of life, the Lord directs a mans curse of Life. This denotes that God is in control of the thinking process that determines they choices we make to choose our course of life !

This Truth demolishes the God forsaken concept of man has a freewill, a accountable will yes, but a freewill no way !

There is no objective way to test for free will and/or answer the question.

    per the scriptures...

God ALONE is eternal, has abslute free will to do as he pleases, while man can do as he pleases, but those choices always under the choices of god ordained those actions, permitted those actions, either way, still in control of all situations and circumstances!

    >God ALONE is eternal, has abslute free will to do as he pleases

But God does NOT have the free will to occasionally toss a coin? God is a slave of his free will?

That is a good question, could God, in the freedom of his will, break a promise? If not, then his will is not totally free...and I would say that's a good thing!!!

I would say that His will is totally free but is also totally consistent with His nature.

Now, you are on to the truth finally. True freedom is within the confines of ones nature and there are things the Bible says God CANNOT do and to claim he can is simply to repudiate God's Word. He cannot do ANYTHING that contradicts His own nature as that violates HIS FREEDOM and His very EXISTENCE - Mal. 3:6

"On to the truth finally"? I have held that belief for quite some time. But thanks for the affirmation.

Not so! You have vigorously denied that truth many times in our confrontations over the freedom of the will.

Flip side of that relates to our 'free will"...

In that as sinners, we can ONLY do the things consistent with our fallen wills!

    Michael Wrenn...

Of course. We all have absolute free will. It is God given to mankind.

    No.

Adam when he was created at it, as he was without a sin nature, and could freely choose...

he chose badly, became spiritually dead and possessing a sin nature, and from that point forward, total free will gone!
