Nope. She can go on back home and take her signatures with her. Her choices are inconsistent with the beliefs of the Scouts so she needs to get over it and call it a day.

If she wants to start her own little organization where who she has sex with outside of marriage doesn't matter, she has a right to do so. But the Scouts also have a right on the same grounds to reject her as a den mother.

And I am sick to death of all this "if you don't do what I want you to do, I'm gonna go get a lot of people to say you're wrong and force you to change your convictions" mess.

I'd tell her to stuff it.

Glad that the Boy Scouts of America are standing their ground.

I find it sad that people with immoral values think that everyone should be forced to accept their lifestyles. Bottom line is that we do not want her or others like her to be indoctrinating our children with their immoral values. I hope the BSA is able to stand under the pressure, but unless the church changes its ways and takes a strong stand I am afraid that the BSA will cave at some point.
    Mat 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Other than the odd Scout troop meeting in a church's basement, I see no connection between the two. It is not a matter of the Church's behavior.

I thought the SCOTUS had already spoken about a similar case several years ago when they said the Scouts did not have to allow a gay man to be Scout leader.

The church has the same blindness as you show here.

Which seems to be a standard liberal tactic: We don't like what you said, even though you're the ultimate law of the land, so we're going to continue calling it what we want...like a penalty instead of a tax, that sort of thing....

You're the one who said I'm blinded. I want to know specifically what you mean by your statement. You made an accusation of sin/ignorance againt me; as a Christian it is your duty to explain it to me if I ask you to clarify, so that if I see that I am wrong I may repent.

Apparently FAL is more interested in making baseless accusations than actually helping errant brethren come to repentance.

Honestly we should all know better than to respond to anything it posts.

Is it hypocritical not to want sexual perverts around children? I think that is good practice. It's bad enough that homosexuality is being forced down our throats by the media and the laws passed protecting their "rights" and taught to the children as an alternate lifestyle. That doesn't mean we have to let them into organizations where they will have more direct access to children and be able to manipulate their impressionable minds. Whether or not they would molest the children, I have no doubt they would be teaching them to be accepting of their perverted and wicked lifestyle.

Jon-Marc: If this is aimed in my direction, let me say first of all that I agree with you wholeheartedly. My mention of hypocrisy was aimed toward the individual who declares that I'm (spiritually) blind, but he is unwilling to fulfill his duty as a Christian to help me to see exactly how I sin.

I agree with the BSA's stance.
