The title of the op is shown to be a lie in its very own article. The article admits jobs will be created. But only 5 economists were interviewed and it said that "most" said.... "Most" out of 5? Really?

Constructing the Keystone Pipeline won't create jobs?

That's rich. That's "reporting" at its finest. (all sarcasm intended)

2 of 5 economists interviewed expressed their opinion that the republican bills won't actually create jobs. 1 said that some job creation could happen, but as an afterthought rather than a direct result. 1 (chairman of Macroeconomic Advisers) said that potential job creation could be offset by health concerns via environment deregulation.

The remaining economist wasn't quoted, apparently because his opinion disagreed with the others.

CTB, you've really gotta start reading these things with a spirit of discernment.

--- Edited to add: And I have to wonder: How many of these 5 economists ascribe to Keynesian economics, which is clearly proving itself to be wrong?

He probably read the title and then stopped since it fit his political paradigm.

The pipeline will transport Chinese oil to Texas for shipping to China. China just bought the largest oil company in Canada.

No reason the pipeline can't handle oil from our oil shale and send that oil to China. It is no longer "American" oil because the leases are owned by international corporations. There is no such thing as "American" oil.
