That he experienced same thing a sinner will, as he was seperated from the father for that period of time on the Cross?

Not just for "a sinner" but every sinner:

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Wonder if this was the Cup he was loath to taste, in that he would be seperated from God for a time!

    No doubt.

But there was probably more to it than that.

I thought death is separation from God, therefore being Jesus was dead for three days and three nights would he not have been separated from the Father for three days and three nights?

I would say just from scripture that his soul was in Hades (Hell if you want to call it that) for three days and three nights and his body was on the cross and then in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea subject to corruption yet did not see corruption.

He was not separated while on the cross. He was when He went to hell for 3 days.

Jesus did not simply taste death for every man, he was made sin for us.

2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

This is a mind-boggling verse, and who can comprehend what it entails, but it is what the scriptures say.

I believe Jesus was separated from the Father while he was on the cross, thus Jesus cried out that God had forsaken him.

Mat 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

I believe the darkness itself it part of the punishment a sinner suffers in hell.

Now this is pure speculation on my part, but I have often wondered if to be in hell means to be utterly separated from everyone for all time. In Luke 16 we read the account of the rich man who died and went to hell. He seems to be all alone, while the poor man Lazarus was with Abraham in Abraham's bosom.

Jud 1:13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Observe the stars, they burn, yet they are all separated one from another by a great gulf that cannot be crossed. I have often wondered if this is what it is like to be in hell. To be consumed and ablaze with passion, but forever separated from everyone, in total blackness.

Is this what Jesus experienced on the cross? A blackness that could be felt, you could not see your hand in front of your face. But consumed with the agony and torment of sin.

This is simply speculation on my part, but who knows?

NO, He did not go to hell. We know this because of His own words.
    Luke 23:43
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Jesus went into paradise not hell and torment.

I believe you are correct. Jesus being true God and true man who knows the suffering He endured.

As human, we are body, soul and spirit so no doubt He suffered psychic pain as well as physical.

    Psalm 107:
10 Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness,
    prisoners suffering in iron chains,
11 because they rebelled against God’s commands
and despised the plans of the Most High.
    12 So he subjected them to bitter labor;
they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness,
    and broke away their chains.
15 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
16 for he breaks down gates of bronze
and cuts through bars of iron..

    2 Peter 2:
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,[Greek Tartarus] putting them in chains of darkness[Some manuscripts in gloomy dungeons] to be held for judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)— 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. 10 This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh[In contexts like this, the Greek word for flesh (sarx) refers to the sinful state of human beings, often presented as a power in opposition to the Spirit; also in verse 18.] and despise authority.

    Jude 1:6
5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord[Some early manuscripts Jesus] at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

So many think Satan has a kingdom and it is going to be a party. Satan hates mankind with a burning rage even if he had a kingdom he wouldn't let mankind enjoy it.

They will be chained in darkness where not even the fires of hell will quench the darkness.

I believe the Spirit of God within Jesus returned back to God when Jesus gave up His Spirit and His soul and body spent the time where our does for the three days.

I believe that also. It is the Spirit from God that makes us a living soul. When Jesus commended his spirit unto the hands of the Father, Jesus died. Ceased from being a living soul. His soul was in Hades, realm of dead, and his body subject to corruption but his Father raised him from the dead, renewing him with Spirit Life, Holy after three days and three nights.

And Jesus then; being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Hebrews 5:9

Asked if he experienced hell on the Cross, don't believe that he went there!

the Bible NEVER stated that Jesus went to hell!

Do you holdl to chasamatic threology that he died as a sinner, went to hell, and had to be born again while there?

He went to the lowest pit, and defeated hell and death. All in scripture.

What is the "lowest parts of the earth"?

What is "the lowest pit "

What does "crashing the gates of hell" mean?

Did you read that scripture and look at the link? If he took the thief on the cross with Him into paradice then he could not be in hell.
