    Good decision! If he stayes in the US he will soon be caught. If he returns to Mexico he will save the taxpayers $40K/year.

    Bill that is an interesting philosophy. Personally I have little use for the prison system. I am of the mind that no one should ever get more than 20 years and even that on very rare occasions. If the crime is so serious that it requires more then 20 they should be executed. Also I think it would be better to follow the biblical prescriptions for crimes. Most people would straighten up by caning, the rod and required to pay back for all the trouble they caused.

    This is the same individual who claims that law enforcement officers who are ex military ought not hold those postitions because they are brutal by nature.

    Ammended for clarity- I refer only to the quote above and not to the OP link.

    Actually God calls for all those who rape to be put to death.

    So long as it's at the end of a rope and in public I'm okay with it.

    Yeah but it's easier to clean up afterwards. :smilewinkgrin:

    Evidently some folks are too squeemish to watch a death sentence carried out. Good! All the more reason for public executions. Rape a child swing from a tree! Let em all see first hand what will happen to em.

    :laugh::laugh::laugh: Are you returning to Mexico with the rest of the illegals or do you intend on remaining here and sucking up the free services like the rest?

    No it is not about them being squeamish. It is about them hating the commands of God and choosing their own. They are spoken of in 2Tim 3:4
    Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    I think it has more to do with their unfounded faith in the state to protect them from evil.

    Durand. It's French like my French-Canadian grandpa. My family snuck in fron Canada. The St Lawrence is much deeper than the Rio Grande. Where y'all getting these 'free' services? I'm working two jobs and the only thing I ever get for free is advice from my barber and air for my tires.

    Paul was such a fool. You should've schooled him better Poncho.

    Romans 13:1-5 NAS77
    1 Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
    2 Therefore he who resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
    3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same;
    4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil.
    5 Wherefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake.

    No Paul wasn't a fool but those who try to make a scant few of Paul's ancient words fit our modern system of government are fools. Paul was talking about a ruler.

    We have no rulers here. The law (constitution) is our "higher authority". Not a single man or even many men. Maybe someone should have schooled you better in civics. :smilewinkgrin:

    A single ruler like the Roman Senate? Senatus Populusque Romanus. The government Paul spoke of was the same one that sentenced him to death. Still he required subjection. Perhaps one should not be so easily dismissive of what he had to say about rulers.

    So why didn't your parent obey this? Also are you obey this by turning in those who you know to be illegal?
