Hebrews 2:5 KJV For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

My understanding the word for world there means the inhabited earth.

What is the world to come? ----- When will the world to come, begin?

Does that verse imply that either this current, "world," and or some, "world," in times past has been subject to angels and or former angels?

Please elaborate whether yes or no.

"A new heaven and a new earth" after the present is done away. I make the assumption it will be inhabited as now.

What is the world to come? ----- When will the world to come, begin?

Good question, I'm rusty with Revelation but it's outlined.

Does that verse imply that either this current, "world," and or some, "world," in times past has been subject to angels and or former angels?

I don't believe so. I started in Ch 1 for full perspective and he is establishing positions of angels men, God, and His Son.

Matt 4:8,9 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
2 Cor 4:4 In whom the god of this world (age) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Rev 12:8.9 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world (exactly same word in Hebrews): he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Eph, 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, (age) against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

    What do these verses imply.

I believe they imply what I believe to be implied in Heb, 2:5 If they do then we must ask when was this power given to Satan?

it speaks of our ruling and reigning with Christ.

2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

    he is quoting from psalm8

man was originally lower than the angels, but In Christ we are above them.
Some postmill writers see this also as our renewed commision to exercise dominion on this earth until it is redeemed from the curse.

I understand. Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing not put under him.

This is speaking of man. You and me. However the next line.

But now we see not yet all things put under him. ---Man, you and me.

Therefore does verse 5 imply that this present inhabited earth is in subjection to angels and or demons?

The first man Adam and you and me were made a little lower than the angels and all things have never been subject to him or to you and me. Yet all things are to be subjected to man, you and me.

The first man Adam was created in the image of God.

However it appears to me the day he was created the inhabited earth was already subjected to a former angel, Satan. Even in Daniel we see this. 10:13
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

    Is that angelic/demonic warfare?

Darkness in Gen. 1:2-5 is in contrast to Light which is God. Was the Darkness, Satan?
If not, what does the darkness of this world represent in Gen. 1:2?

Was Adam created as he was on the earth which was already subject to Satan in order that the Lamb could be born as a man, a little lower than the angels, to conquer Satan through death and resurrection so that the world to come (all things) could be put in subjection to one created in the image of the resurrected Christ, the last Adam? And you and me?

Is all this relative to the gospel of the kingdom of God and our being born into it as children of God in the image of the resurrected Jesus the Christ?

I see this as a already-but-not-yet declaration. Christ is reigning from heaven and the kingdom of God is present on the earth already, but the coming of Christ ("then cometh the end when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God the Father") will seal the deal, when Christ hands over His finished work in gathering the totality of His elect as citizens of heaven. Basically, the kingdom on earth is the period of naturalization, but when Christ comes back, His kingdom will be fully realized. The final judgment will occur, and all His saints will be enjoying the kingdom of heaven together without sojourning on earth "in this present evil age."
