That he somehow made it different than what Jesus meant it to be?

Do you see jesus wanted to reform Judaism, but not start a "new religion", sort of like Luthor wanting to have RCC reform, not a new religion started?

We must be careful here to make a distinction between current Judaism and what God actually gave Moses. God made no mistake that had to be later corrected. God's design for the law is still valid as it ever was - to give the knowledge of sin.

The Old Covenant had no faults except in the flesh and its temporal unfulfilled perspectives. It provided the most comprehensive application of righteousness in all aspects of life (civil, religious, home) that God has ever given to man but the weakness was in man not in what God gave.

    The New Covenant makes the Old Covenant administration obselete because ;

    1. It fulfills the predictive ceremonial administrations

    2. It provides the internal apparatus (New Spirit and New man) to deal with the external man.

    3. It does away with external civil enforcement and supplies an internal enforcement (New Spirit and New man).

    4. It exceeds the capability of external administrations

Also, the new covenant was ALWAYS the only way INDIVIDUAL salvation could be obtained from Genesis to Revelation whereas the Old Covenant was NEVER designed to obtain eternal life and salvation for anyone at anytime.

    Good points...

I was asking for those here who seem to have implied that the Christianity that Jesus would establish is somehow different than the One paul wrote about!

    No

No, Jesus wanted to FULFILL 'Judaism' (at least the 'Judaism' of the Law and the Prophets)

Yes. After 70 AD Paul's followers hijacked Christianity and the Pharisees (rabbis) hijacked Judaism.

Scripture is covenantal at its root and therefore its religion is too. There are no disparities between Paul and Jesus, and my I add, the OT prophets and so on.

Paul died before 70 A.D. and all his epistles had been written. So don't you have the very same problem with his epistles since he records in Galations that Peter, James, and John approved his ministry and gave him the right hand of fellowship. He would go to the Gentiles as the apostle to the Gentiles and they would go to the "circumcision" or Jews?

OK. The Noahic covenant obligated the entire human race. There is not even a hint in the Mosaic covenant the 613 Laws apply to gentiles in Chicago.

True, but the editing wasn't finished until Constantine took control of the Church.

Of course not! What makes you think Paul "Hi-jacked" the Christianity Jesus taught?

Paul was the pre-destined minister of the Gentiles.... assigned to speak for Jesus himself.

So Paul said. A plain reading of Acts indicates the Jerusalem Council didn't know what to do and mostly wanted for him to stay away from Jerusalem and do his thing, whatever it was. I think the Apostle's comments about Paul were ironic and/or sarcastic.

Do you hold that the NT scriptures were inspired revelation of/from God? Authored by the Holy Spirit moving upon men, same fashion he did in OT times?

If yes, then Paul recodred down EXACTLY as thr Spirit intended...

Your problem would be with the Holy spirit!
