Not sure if this would be the correct forum for this thread but...

The other day I went to Goodwill to check out their books (alot of churches in my area donate to the Goodwill) and I ran across one by Albert Garner called Defense of the Faith or Christian Doctrine. The only thing I found on him was that he is with the ABA and that is about it. Has anyone heard of him or read any of his books?

Yes. I have several of his books including "Defense" and "Bible Analysis." They are not aimed at the Seminary graduate but at the Christian sitting in the pew. They are fairly simple and down to earth.

I am the latter (Christian sitting in the pew). Would you recommend the book and author as sound in Doctrine?

Yes, they are pretty good, basic, Baptist doctrine and practice books.
