    The author sounds psychophrenic...

He talks about how absurd Clinton's "facts" are...

And then says it was a good speech because he talked about facts.

Then again the media always admired Clinton for his ability to lie so well.

Folks put too much emphasis on speeches. Romney will never be able to give a speech like Clinton or Obama. So what? It is policy that is important, not the ability to give a good speech.

The scriptures even caution us to be careful of those that use good words and fair speeches to deceive the simple.

Rom 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Now, I know this verse is not speaking of political speeches, but the concept is the same. Simple minded folks are often taken in by great speeches. They are awed by great and swelling words, and do not often carefully consider what the speaker is REALLY saying.

One thing I have noticed about Democrats over the years versus Republicans is that Democrats seem to value style over substance. They are moved by emotions and feelings and great speeches, where Republicans are swayed by more rational and practical arguments.

I heard a fellow once say you can always distinguish who is a Democrat from a Republican by how they express their opinions. He said a Democrat will almost always say, "I FEEL this is a good idea", where a Republican will say, "I THINK this is a good idea". I have paid attention since then, and this statement is generally true.

I want substance and good policies that truly help our country. I could care less about somebody who makes great speeches.

    The difference between Romney and Obama is summed up right here;

I believe/feel it would be wonderful if politicians gave answers with substance. I am not sure how you can say that Romney has given such answers seeing that he refuses to go into detail on his plans. I am not using this as an attack on Romney, just saying we really do not know what the specifics of his proposals are. I might well change my vote if he gave specifics on his proposed changes if I found I liked them. But IMHO so far he has avoided specifics ... or answers of substance. To change my vote he would have to show me that the poor and middle class will not be harmed by his policies and that he will not follow a policy of the redistribution of wealth from the poor and middle class to the rich. This seems to be the policies he and Ryan are proposing.

Well we know what the lying liars tell us:

    1. Cut the deficit in half. It was more than doubled.

    2. Bring people together. First words out of his mouth, I won you lost!

    3. Close Gitmo!

    4. Unemployment below 8% if this trillion dollar giveaway is passed for shovel ready jobs. We got unemployment above 8%, fewer people working than since the 1960's, no shovel ready jobs, 50% increase in food stamp giveaway, gas prices more than doubled, ~ 10 % decrease in average income, $5 trillion in new debt, and on and on ad infinitum.

The leftist democrats don't really care. They want a country of elites, themselves, and serfs. Just like olden times.

    Very funny.

A party that tells us they represent the best hope for women, and trot out Kennedy & Clinton to prove it has fools for it's followers.

Hope the dems are enjoying their ABORTIONPALOOZA. Disgusting.
