As I recall Gore, inventor of the internet, was talking about "Hooovveer" times when he was a candidate, almost 70 years after the event.

It is only in recent years that I have seen information which shows the abysmal record of FDR. Of course there have always been some perceptive folks who knew that the draft in 1940 and our entry into WWII in 1941 got us out of the ROOOseveelltt! depression.

So how long will the democrats blame President Bush for the ills of the world, especially the failures of Obamma?

I think Arbo has it right. As long as their plan isn't working they will say it was because they go into too deep of a hole.

However, Reagan's recovery came after a more severe recession and it was roaring along the year leading up to his reelection bid.

This blame game reminds me of the Republicans who, after 911, would continue to point back at the terrorist attack for the reason behind the economy being anemic.

The tired old saying (I am so sick of hearing it I could puke) is that Demcrats are for the common man and Republicans are for big business. This is based on a flawed notion of the Great Depression and what caused it 75 years ago. When we bought our house during the Carter years, how was an interest rate of 15% good for the common/working man? How was his 12% inflation good for the common man? Lets be honest, if a Republican Congress had not been elected in 1994, Clinton would have the same legacy as Obama, Carter and Johnson.

The truth is that Democrats do not care about the working man, they care about political power and tax dollars in their pockets. The Republicans do not care about big business, they care about political power. The bottom line is Republicans do less harm than Democrats.

It is lame at this point but they will attempt to it for as long as they get some traction.

What makes me laugh is Clinton boldly stating that its the Dems charter to bring jobs back into this country when he was the guy in office to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act (along with his Goldman Sachs buddies) .....what a charlatan, what a liar, what a mountebank.

Bush will go down in history as a president:

    1. Who took a budget surplus and turned it into a huge deficit.

    2. Took the US into two unjustified wars that drained the budget and cost the lives of thousands of young Americans.

    3. Mismanaged the economy through wars and incompetency in economic affairs such that when he left office the US economy was in free-fall.

    4. Through his administrations huge intelligence failure or just plain telling lies to justify two unnecessary wars.

    5. He had no exit play for Iraq and no post-Iraq war plan.

    5. Permitted torture.

    6. He ignored a pre-9/11 memo.

    7. Failed to capture Osama bin Laden

    8. He abandoned the Kyoto Protocol

    9. Gave tax cuts to the wealthy but not the middle class.

    10. Limited stem cell research.

    11. Awarded lucrative no-bid contracts to Halliburton, his VP's old company.

    12 Permitted warrantless wiretapping.

    13. Squandered all the good will felt toward the US after 9/11

He will go down in history as one of the worst presidents in our history.

Whether it is Bush or Obama- no money can be spent without approval of Congress
Can you give us some exact examples of what he did?

Passing on information is not lying - if you were not aware of it. Now if you are saying Bush passed on lies, are you are also saying our allies were just as guilty

The Military exit plan - VICTORY - ASAP

War is Hell- if that's what it takes - so be it.

This makes me think of my military retirement pay check. I am currently receiving 100% of what I made the last year in the military. My total pay was zero dollars - therefore my paycheck is "$0.00"

    10. Limited stem cell research.
If stem cell research was killing babies - then that was a good decision

    12 Permitted warrantless wiretapping.
If the wiretapping was saving American lives - I support it!

Plus many many more ... topped off with a 16 trillion dollar debt reaching into time for possibly three generations to come.

The budget surplus was the work of the Republican Congress. There are questions as to whether the surplus was as big as claimed. I would also note that Bush inherited a recession and 9/11 from Clinton but he was man enough not to blame Clinton. The empty suit democrats have never taken responsibility for anything they screwed up.

If Clinton had taken bin Laden when he had the opportunity there would have been no wars so blame it all on Clinton!

Your ignorance is showing. The cause of the recession was policies put in place forcing banks to make bad home loans. Freddie and Fannie and the pervert Barney Franks made matters worse.

You are showing your ignorance again. It was the democrat Senator Frank Church who destroyed the intelligence apparatus of the US!

That is patently false. Whatever plan Bush had Obamma screwed up!

That is a lie. The intelligence gathered from water boarding is what led to the killing of bin Laden.

What memo? There would have been mo 9/11 if Clinton had done his job and taken custody of bin Laden when he had the opportunity. And possibly if the democrat Frank Church had not destroyed the CIA.

Sure he was over there in Boro Boro when bib Laden made his escape. It is a fact that there would have been no 9/11 if Clinton had done his job and there would have been no killing of bin Laden except for the information gained through water boarding under President Bush!

Thank God he did. Goes to show that President Bush cares more for America than democrats do. Anyhow the Senate would never have approved it. The Protocol placed restrictions only on the United States, Western Europe, and Japan with none on China and Russia. What President Reagan won in the Cold War the democrats were trying to give away!

That is another flat out lie. Just to show how ignorant you are:

So you see Crabbie that you are either ignorant or a liar. President Bush cut the tax on the low to middle income folks by one third to one half!

He limited taxpayer funded stem cell research. President Bush was pro-life, something you don't understand.

And your evidence is. No-bid contracts are often awarded by the government because only some companies have the requisite capability. At least they didn't go bankrupt and shaft the taxpayer like the buddies of Obamma!

Congress passed the bill, Bush signed it. The bill originated in the democrat Senate.

At least he didn't apologize for America as the empty suit in the White House did and does.

President Bush will go down in history well above Obamma and Carter. Obamma makes even Carter look presidential.
