DEATH KNELL to most BB threads!!!

I just looked at my "subscribed threads" (It's now close to 11:15 pm on 09/15/20 where I live, on Sat Sept 25).

I've got SIX threads that have had no resonses to them, some of them have not been answered for almost four days now!! :type:

    What's the matter with me?

I guess the proverbial cat has got your tongue or something..

    :BangHead:

Your latest dead post did not require commentary. The one before was more suited as a political topic . . . .

"Fellowship" implies friendly topics, not argumentative topics.

Not really. "Fellowship" just means we can discuss a topic in a non-debating way. It has nothing to do with the topic itself. I've said this before--some posters here think that it's okay to be mean and nasty because (and I quote a former poster) "we aren't discussing flowers." It's not the topic that is the problem, it's the attitude of the posters, whether for discussion or for debate.

It's even worse when you get no comments but when someone starts a thread on the SAME TOPIC the next day, everyone jumps on. Self check. Let's see...

    Shower - check
    Deodorant - check
    Sparkly personality - check
Humility - check? check? Hello? IS THIS THING ON?!

I know what you mean Gina. I have, on occasion, written a post that literally flashed with brilliant prose and unassailable logic. And few if any responded.

Oh, I thought thought of something. If it's unassailable, then there's no reason to disagree with me. No wonder, when I write something, that's all that needs to be written on the subject.

So, why hasn't any one dared to challenge me (and thus defend the integrity of) the so-called "daring" of most conservative Christians at the time, (GOP POTUS Ronald W. Reagan [who, BTW, was a divorced Hollywood actor and a former Democrat union boss!]) about what I stated as fact in post 4 of the thread that you, billwald, actually started earlier that day on Sept. 14, 2012, which is by now at least THREE days old?

And then there's my post 37 of Salty's thread on "driving to church" dated 15 Sept 2012 which is, by now, at least two days old that no one apparently wants to touch either.

What is there to say? What kind of response did you expect? The topic was taxing church real estate and businesses - no one is interested so it died.

I guess that puts me in the category of being a "no one" then because I'm interested in hearing what other BAPTISTS (or any other person who claims to be born-again [You DO have to be born-again before you can HONESTLY say you're a BAPTIST, you know.]

"What's good for the goose is good for the gander!"

BTW, lest anyone gets the impression that I am/was anti-RWR, they are WRONG!! He was only GOP POTUS that I gladly cast my vote for TWICE!! There were only two other GOP POTUS candidates I voted for ONCE in my 66+ yrs here on planet earth. In retrospect, I regretted both of my voting choices. I've learned my lesson well & will revert back to my voting for a 3d party candidate in 2012!!

I'm VERY OFFENDED by your remark which, it is obvious for all to see, that YOU, B-G, must hold the Scots (Whose national flag, the "St. Andrews Cross," [Which, BTW, was the basis upon which the US Confederate Battle Flag was designed!] in deep disdain!!!

While by no means are the people from whom I'm descended 100% perfect, at least we, the Scots, have Adam Smith, author of the 1776 classic On the Wealth of Nations, to claim!

What are you, some SOUTHERNER whose people claim as one of your own Sir John Maynard Keynes, or something?!!?

    Repent, my dear sister!!!
