We need to bring all of our folks home and let the muslim nutjobs figure out how to take care of themselves, or else let them kill each other off.

I agree with everything that's been said so far; but I have to point out a couple of things for further clarification.

Where was the admission that an attack was conducted because of oppression? I skimmed the article twice, but didn't see it.

The Afghans already know how to take care of themselves. But why should they say "no" to free equipment, free training, free uniforms and clothing, free money, etc.?

The oppression was the headline on the Drudge Report.

    "INSURGENT" means "PATRIOT"

"It was the third attack by Afghan forces or insurgents disguised in military uniforms against international forces in as many days, killing eight troops in all."

Simple answer, these tactics are the most economical means in lives and money for expelling an invading and occupying army.

You really want to get upset? Do a search for "Jeff Bordin" and "afghanistan" and look at when Mr. Bordin originally posted his report that the "insider killings" weren't the "isolated" incidents ISAF kept reporting them as.

My brother was in Korea around 1960 or so. after the truce. He said the North was continually killing GIs but it would reported as "GI broke his neck by falling off a ladder, " something like that.

Back to the OP: Oppression? Oppression? Okay, let us leave and take all of our goodies we have left with us, even down to the flak jackets.

Let them fend. Oppression? They want their women to wear burqas and their kids to be killed for their body organs? Or their kids to be sex slaves? How about the public hangings and heads cut off and hands cut off? Or groups rounded up and put into shipping containers and left to suffocate? Let them have their way of life.

Edited to say: It is not America, it is their religion. They rejected the Gospel many years ago. Once upon a time, Baptists used to be in Afghanistan. Once upon a time, that country heard the Gospel. Now it is outlawed and our politically correct leaders (both Bush and Obama) have forbade anything offensive to muslims in the region.

When the war in Afghanistan first started, I used to go on Afghanistan message boards, which were hosted and run here in the US. The people that posted there were over here, not in their home country, and the posts were full of hate for America and yet, they live here!!!

I quit posting there because of the venom and afraid of getting a virus.

Don't forget, before 09/11, the Taliban were in Texas for talks to set up a deal.

But to say Americans are oppressing or colonizing is utter nonsense.

Talked to an ex-Marine the other day. He verified, having been in both Afghanistan and Iraq, that indeed, the people there DO hate us. It is their religion.

Would "don't give that which is holy to the dogs" apply here? Me thinks so!

And casting your pearls before swine.

Bearing in mind, there are a few Christians in Afghanistan, an Underground Church that is still alive, even in the Muslim world under Sharia Law. Pray for them.

Yeah the fact that we've been meddling in their affairs since WWII has nothing to do with it at all. We're the good guys. We're just trying to bomb them into the modern world. That's all. What a bunch of ingrates they are huh?
