    Democrats:

    1. Attempted to remove all mentions of God from their platform

    2. Side with Atheists and Agnostics in their attempts to secularize all aspects of public life

    3. Support the killing of innocent life and even the obscene practice of partial birth abortion

    4. Believe it is intolerant to call homosexuality sinful

    5. Support gay marriage

The list could go on, but this is enough to make one seriously question how a follower of Christ, and the scripture, can justify their support of this political party, or anyone who affiliates themselves with this party.

Or Democrats can "believe in" "The Sermon On The Mount." Many Baptists and other dispensationalists classify Jesus' teaching as OT Law and not applicable to this dispensation.

Every election season, there's a a whole lot of rationalization and justifying going on from both sides.

That is true. This is a free country and everyone has the right to mix and match as they choose, but IMO politics and politicians in the United States are about as far as any object on this earth (and beyond) can get from a Holy God. Trying to make a case for a similarity between Democrats/Republicans and anything that is Holy shows a total distain for anything sacred.

True, to a point. Not every vote is pro candidate. Sometimes it becomes a choice between Bad and Worse. To prevent Worse, sometimes we must choose the Bad. It's not so much being for Bad, but being against Worse.

When comparing Republican and Democrat morals to those of Christ the Republican party rises far far above those of the Democratic. Both are for caring for the poor and needy so this issue is moot. The Dems want to steal from the rich and give to the poor, this is antichrist. The Dems want to kill babies in the womb at will, this is antichrist. The Dems want to ignore the world's murderest Dictators and not go to war to save the innocent that suffer under them, this is antichrist. The Dems want to seperate church and state, this is antichrist.

Being able to chose our favorite tax collector and to own guns "proves" we are still free. <G>

You all believe that the SOM only applies to OT Jews?

I hear what you are saying, but the US Govt has propped up some pretty bad dictators over the years (even Saddam Hussein back in the 1980s) under both Republican and Democratic administrations. Both parties have no qualms about getting us into numerous wars in which many civilians are tortured, maimed, or displace (and in which many of our own troops are killed or maimed or become suicidal).

Ergo, I refuse to support either major party (although the GOP may be slightly better, because at least they give lip service to being 'pro-life')

Lip service is exactly right and that's why the abortion numbers keep going up. If these candidates are so against abortion, then start doing PSAs or something against them when you get in office instead of making it an election issue.

How? The same way each of us justify our own pet sins. . .by believing the Devil's lie that it's okay to put our own selfish desires above obedience to God.

How are we all (whoever you mean by that) to be brought before the Sanhedrin (Matthew 5:22) for being angry with our brother?

Anyone who thinks political parties have morals are living in a dream land. Political parities are about controlling the money.

If given the opportunity I would vote for a pro-life democract in the hopes that it would help them multiply and maybe, just maybe, we could have real debate about economic issues again.

As it stands today Republicans can roll any bad candidate out that they want and I feel obligated to vote for him or her because I can't vote for a pro-abortion candidate. That is a very unhealthy political environment.
